Press Tour: Lisa Kudrow makes an HBO 'Comeback' comeback

10 July 2014 7:11 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

It’s been nine years since viewers have seen Valerie Cherish, the sitcom star who allowed cameras to capture her every move to disastrous results, but she’s back and as awkward as ever.  Star Lisa Kudrow and executive producer Michael Patrick King were on hand at the 2014 summer TCA press tour to talk about “The Comeback’s” six-episode resurrection, which is something they’ve always secretly hoped would happen.  “Lisa and I would meet over the years socially, because obviously it’s fun to be around Lisa, and I would always wonder what Valerie would be doing right now,” King says. “But we never said it aloud--”  “It was too much of an emotional risk,” Kudrow adds.  “And then we got a call from HBO,” King continues. “They asked us to come back and talk about ‘The Comeback.’ So we started talking about it because it was no longer a risk. »

‘The Expendables 3′ New TV Trailer & Motion Poster: Courageous but Insane

10 July 2014 3:01 PM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

The first Expendables movie seemed like more of a gimmick than anything else: director-star Sylvester Stallone gathers together a band of old school action stars (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren) combined with some current stars who have carved out their own genre niche (Jason Statham, Jet Li), pitches the action and gunfire at a breakneck pace, then stir and serve.

For the third (and last?) entry in the series, The Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes takes over, adds some new faces in the form of villain Mel Gibson and ally Harrison Ford, along with Kelsey Grammar, Kellan Lutz and Ronda Rousey, and allows us all to all to hope that this might be the most balanced, coherent and worthwhile Expendables film yet. Not to mention the fact that Hughes has been tasked with remaking The Raid for American audiences, and The Expendables 3 is a big chance to ...

Explosive Extended TV Spot Released For ‘The Expendables 3′

10 July 2014 1:00 PM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

With its release date fast approaching it’s time for The Expendables 3′s advertising to go into overdrive, and it definitely has if this extended TV spot is anything to go by!

Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham return as Barney and Christmas, who just happen to run into Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), former co-founder of The Expendables. However, Stonebanks and Barney didn’t end their friendship on ‘good terms’, with the pair now looking to end each other through any possible means. The endless list of co-stars includes Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Wesley Snipes, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, Kellan Lutz, Victor Ortiz, Ronda Rousey, Kelsey Grammer and Glen Powell – now that’s one hell of a cast!

If I were to tell the truth, The Expendables franchise is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. 90 minutes of bulging biceps, cheesy humour and buildings blown to smithereens… »
