Pilgrimage

The first photos have been released from Brendan Muldowney's "Pilgrimage," the medieval Ireland set project starring Richard Armitage, Jon Bernthal and Tom Holland which just wrapped production in Belgium and Ireland.

The story centers on a group of monks who undertake a pilgrimage to transport their monastery's holiest relic to Rome. When the true significance of the relic is revealed, the journey becomes much more treacherous. [Source: Heat Vision]

Untitled Female 21 Jump Street Spin-Off

"Bob's Burgers" scribes Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux have signed on to pen a script for the female-centric "21 Jump Street" project at Sony Pictures.

The pair have come onboard in addition to "Broad City" writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs who're also penning a script, albeit a different ones. Aniello and Downs were first, but the studio liked the Molyneux's pitch enough they're moving forward with dual-track development. [Source: THR]

Trying to Make Heads or Tails of the 'Return to Sender' Trailer Starring Rosamund Pike

The plot for the upcoming thriller Return to Sender says it's about a nurse (Rosamund Pike) living in small town goes on a blind date with a man who is not the person he says he is. Okay, so let's start with that... In the trailer we see Pike talking with her friend (Rumer Willis) who asks her about the "big night", which we then learn is a date with her husband's co-worker, Kevin (Billy Slaughter). However, she doesn't appear to even remember she's having the date and when "Kevin" shows up, for what is a blind date (suggesting she doesn't know what he even looks like), she lets this guy in and proceeds to get raped. Kevin shows up and then... well, and then I can't really tell. From what I'm trying to piece together, Shiloh Fernandez plays the guy that raped her, with whom she appears to soon »

‘Focus’ Actor Billy Slaughter Joins Will Ferrell in ‘Daddy’s Home’

Billy Slaughter has joined the cast of the Paramount comedy “Daddy's Home,” starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

Pic follows a mild-mannered radio executive, played by Ferrell, who strives to become the best stepfather to his wife’s two children, with Wahlberg playing the freeloading father who gets in the way of that.

Sean Anders will direct from a script by Brian Burns, with revisions by Anders and John Morris, Chris Henchy, Adam McKay and Etan Cohen.

Morris will produce with Ferrell, Henchy and McKay through their Gary Sanchez Productions banner. Executive producers are Riza Aziz, Joey McFarland and David Koplan from Red Granite; Kevin Messick and Jessica Elbaum of Gary Sanchez; Anders; and Diana Pokorny.

Paramount and Red Granite Pictures will co-produce and co-finance. Paramount will distribute worldwide.

Slaughter can be seen next in the Warner Bros. pic “Focus,” starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie, which bows on Feb. »
