In contrast of a statement issued by Jive/Zomba Records saying that "Womanizer" is the lead single for Britney Spears' forthcoming album, a just-leaked song called "Candy From Strangers" is recently assumed to be the singer's first single in her highly-anticipated album. Entitled "Circus", her upcoming sixth major studio effort is announced to come out on her birthday, December 2.

Speaking of Britney's project, her manager named Larry Rudolph says that her new materials are handled in the professional hands of powerhouse producers. "She's working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters and we're very excited about what she's accomplished so far," Larry explains as saying.

Lindsay Lohan's father Michael has challenged Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline to a boxing match, to raise money for charity.

Lohan Snr, a former convict, wants the bout to raise money for a cancer charity based near his Long Island, New York home.

Although Federline has yet to be approached, Lohan is already planning his training regime.

He tells Ok! magazine, "Everyone wants me to fight K-fed because he's a notorious celebrity dad and so am I. It's for charity.

"It's serious boxing. You have to go get a trainer. I have to register with the Mature Boxing Association."

And if Federline says no - he'll search out another willing celebrity opponent: "I don't care who it is; it's for charity. I've been beaten up by the press, so I don't care if I get a few shots by a kid half my age." The Pussycat Dolls are slowly and surely making their way back into the spotlight with their debut performance of their hit new single, “When I Grow Up” featured in a Jimmy Kimmel show late in May, followed by a bunch of live performances in several awards shows.  After getting the hype up for their upcoming sophomore album, whose title they did not giveaway upon the release of the carrier single, the Pussycat Dolls are finally ready to show the world what they have been working on for the past months.

Britney Spears is reportedly still hopeful of gaining joint custody of her two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The couple recently settled a bitter 18-month court battle over Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, 17 months, with a judge awarding sole custody to Federline.

Spears will pay her former spouse $20,000 (GBP10,000)-a-month in child support and retains her visitation rights - she currently enjoys three days and one night a week with her sons.

But the Toxic hitmaker is now hoping the Los Angeles courts will amend the custody agreement by the end of the year, if she can prove she is fit to take care of the boys.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Britney is doing the utmost to stay out of the limelight and lay low, and just focus on her work. She is determined to be taken seriously by the courts, she wants regular drug and alcohol tests to prove she is a reformed mum. She thinks that by ditching the pink wigs and bad boyfriends it will help her case."

And a representative for Federline has agreed officials could review the couple's current custody agreement - and allow Spears a more active role in her kids' upbringing.

The spokesman adds, "She has a chance. Kevin could end up co-parenting the kids together with Britney."

Britney Spears will remain under the conservatorship of her father Jamie until the end of the year, a court has ruled.

The pop star was placed in her father's care in February, following her hospitalisation in January for an alleged bipolar disorder.

According to the new court ruling, Spears' estate and finances will remain under Jamie's control until 31 December.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz confirmed after Thursday's hearing: "Ms. Spears is reluctantly agreeing to extend the temporary (conservatorship)."

The Toxic hitmaker has enjoyed a string of personal successes since her father was awarded control over his troubled daughter's estate - including extended access to her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, 17 months.

Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has also praised Jamie's involvement in the case, insisting the reunion "couldn't have happened without" his assistance.

Kaplan added of his positive influence on the singer: "We're just very positive about it. Having her dad stabilizing everything is a good thing."

A status hearing has been set for 28 October.

It means he now has to juggle being a full-time parent to his sons and looking after his two children from a previous marriage.

And he is said to be adamant that Spears' should take an active role in bringing up the boys.

A source tells British magazine Closer, "Kevin loves his sons, but he didn't aim for sole custody. He wanted to be a co-parent and didn't expect Britney not to fight for custody.

"He never wanted full responsibility. He believes both parents should take an active role. It's tough being a single parent, plus he already has another two children."
