Mini Biography

He was lured away from the medical field by his fascination with movie making. In 2000 he opened Farrland Films Production and joined SAG. Since then he has produced and acted in numerous movies such as "Devil's Highway", "Blood Ranch," "The Moment After 2", and "Taken By Force", and "No Town ". Future projects include "The Missing Link" and "Karaoke Killer".

He has received awards for two movies: "Devil's Highway" (June 2005) for best feature film and cinematography at the New York Film Festival hosted in Las Vegas, and "No Town" nominated for the best drama/comedy (February 2007) at the Hollywood DV festival.

Trivia

As a sportsman, involved with martial arts for many years. Received a fifth degree black belt and owned a martial arts academy in Houston, Texas. He won several international karate marshal arts titles and wrote two books on the psychology of judo and karate and numerous articles about women's self-defense.

Earned masters degrees in city planning, sociology and a Ph.D. in psychology and health services administration. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta. Enrolled in medical school and then opened treatment center for the mentally ill.

His interests include flying (AOPA member) and animal rescue.
