He was lured away from the medical field by his fascination with movie making. In 2000 he opened Farrland Films Production and joined Screen Actor's Guild. Since then he has produced ,directed and acted in numerous movies such as "Devil's Highway", "Blood Ranch," "The Moment After 2", "Taken By Force", "Joshua Tree", "Charlie Valentine" and "The Cloth"

He worked with other co production and they received awards for a future films and cinematography and best drama/comedy and ext.

As a sportsman, involved with martial arts for many years. Received a fifth degree black belt and owned a martial arts academy in Houston, Texas. He won several international karate marshal arts titles and wrote two books on the psychology of judo and karate and numerous articles about women's self-defense.

Earned masters degrees in city planning, sociology and a Ph.D. in psychology and health services administration. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta. Enrolled in medical school and then opened treatment center for the mentally ill.

His interests include martial arts, sky-diving, flying (AOPA member) and animal rescue.
