Stewart quit ITN in 1992, after Trevor McDonald replaced Alastair Burnet as main News at Ten (1967) anchor, and after dual presentation was stopped by ITN. In the running was Stewart, McDonald, and Julia Somerville. He joined London News Network - the successor to 'Thames News' - as male anchor for London Tonight (1993) from 1993 to 2009, where he then switched to presenting 'ITV News at 6:30'. See more »
