Richard Romano is a screenwriter, actor, and 20 year veteran police Sgt./Investigator of the NYPD. He has credits from writing and acting in both feature films and TV.

Rich is the creator and screenplay writer of the theatrically released feature film "The Investigator". The movie was an exclusive DVD release by Walmart in 2014, and is also being distributed overseas. He also served as assistant director, assistant editor, technical adviser, and actor in the movie.

Rich was a technical adviser and actor in his brother Ray's T.V. show, "Everybody Loves Raymond."

He lives in N.Y.

Richard Romano is the oldest child of Albert Romano and Lucie Romano. He is the older brother of Comedian Ray Romano and Teacher Robert Romano. He is the brother-in-law of Anna Romano. He also guest starred in his younger brother hit sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005)" for 5 episodes: "The Checkbook", "The Toaster", "Bachelor Party", "Just Formality" and "Golf for it". He played Sergeant Richard 'Rich' and Security in different episodes, also he played Sergeant Robert Barone, and Sergeant Judy's coworker in Everybody Loves Raymond. He also wrote a children's book with his two younger brothers Comedian Raymond Romano and Robert Romano, the book is called "Raymie, Dickie and the Bean, Why I love and hate my brothers." The character Robert Barone (Played by Brad Garrett) is the big combination between Richard Romano (Ray Romano's older brother) and Robert Romano (Ray Romano's younger brother).
