They released the album "Diff's Lucky Day" under the name Blyss in 1999. It was sold at live shows as well as being passed on to friends and industry contacts.
The actress Tina Majorino appears in the video for "Blind", the second single taken from their 2005 self-titled studio album.
The band is close friends with actor Kiefer Sutherland. They recorded their fourth album in his recording studio, Ironworks Studios, in Los Angles.
They signed to Geffen Records in 2005 after DreamWorks Records folded. The song "We'll Never Know" was written by Jason Wade during the band hiatus between labels.
Jason Wade formed the band in Los Angeles in 1996 after moving there from Port Orchard, WA.
"Hanging by a Moment" spent 55 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No.2. It was named the most played song of 2001.
The song "You and Me" spent 62 weeks on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No.5. It holds fifth place for most weeks spent on the Billboard chart of all time.
Jason Wade wrote the song "From Where You Are" for the Allstate's Teen Driving Program. He has spoken about how he was inspired to write the track after losing a close friend in a car accident in 1996.
Bryce Soderberg replaced Sergio Andrade as bassist in the band after Andrade left in 2004.
Ben Carey became an official member of the band in 2009 after touring with them for five years.
