Fox releases official stills from The Fantastic Four

21 April 2015 12:23 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Following on from the latest trailer [which you can watch here], 20th Century Fox has officially released a batch of new stills from director Josh Tranks’s upcoming superhero reboot The Fantastic Four. They don’t offer up anything we haven’t already seen in the trailer, but we do get a high quality shot of Doctor Doom, along with some shots of the team. Check them out here via Collider…

The Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

The Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters on August 7th, with Josh Trank (Chronicle) directing a cast that includes Miles Teller (Whiplash) as Reed Richards/Mr. »

Collection Of Fantastic Four Stills Showcase Powers And Tony Kebbell’s Doctor Doom

Hot on the heels (flame on!) of yesterday’s poster, which brought the film’s superhero ensemble together, Fox has debuted a collection of stills for Fantastic Four that shift the focus to the team’s individual talents, alongside their chief antagonist, Toby Kebbell’s Doctor Doom.

Up until the recent release of the reboot’s second trailer – where he appeared in a single, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot – the villain has remained rooted in the shadows hitherto; nevertheless, these latest screen grabs allow fans to go up close and personal with all of the flick’s leading cast members.

For the uninitiated, Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four retelling will act as a hard reset, jettisoning Marvel’s First Family back to their otherworldly origins. Using Ultimate Fantastic Four as the key narrative arc, come August, Reed Richards and his eclectic group will be sent through time and »

Fantastic Four Pictures Reveal the Transformed Team Members

20 April 2015 4:22 PM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Yesterday, 20th Century Fox dropped both a new, full-length Fantastic Four trailer and a new “team reveal” poster for director Josh Trank’s adaptation of the Marvel comic. The trailer gave us our clearest look yet at the film, which is indeed a much darker comic book movie than the Marvel Studios mold but also appears to have a solid sense of humor throughout. The most striking thing about the trailer, though, is we get to see a brief showcase of each Fantastic Four member’s powers: Miles Teller’s stretchy arms, Kate Mara’s invisibility, Michael B. Jordan’s human flame, and Jamie Bell’s rock-hard body. But for an even closer look at the various powers, Fox has released some official high-quality screengrabs from the trailer. Not only do they offer static looks at the visual representation of the team’s powers, but also Toby Kebbell’s mysterious Dr. »

The New 'Fantastic Four' Trailer Is Pretty Fantastic

20 April 2015 4:02 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

The first teaser for Fox's expensive reboot of Marvel's "Fantastic Four," was all about mystery and atmosphere. It was intriguing and atmospheric, and certainly hooked those of us who appreciate a less-is-more approach, but we're about to enter the summer movie murder-dome; it's time to show off the goods or get out of the race. And the goods are certainly on display in this new trailer for "Fantastic Four," which beams into cinemas in August.

This new trailer sets up the basic premise more clearly: a group of daring scientist adventurers travels to an alternate dimension, get doused with radiation, and return home with superpowers. Reed Richards (Miles Teller) can stretch, Sue Storm (Kate Mara) can turn invisible and has force fields, Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan) can light on fire and fly and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) turns into a rocky monster known as The Thing. (Also, Victor Domashev »

Fantastic Four: new trailer and poster

19 April 2015 10:13 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

The full trailer has landed for Josh Trank's reboot of Fantastic Four. And we've got a new poster too...

It seems it's been decreed that we're getting a week of big blockbuster trailers. Over the past few days we've already had new promos for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and Jurassic World's latest trailer is just around the corner. Here, though, is a lot more detail as to what to expect from Fox's relatively secretive Fantastic Four movie reboot.

As you more than likely know, the movie stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B Jordan as Marvel's first family, with Toby Kebbell taking on the role of villainous Dr Doom. We get our first look at Dr Doom too in the new trailer, as let's get on and show you that first...

‘Fantastic Four’ Official Trailer Arrives

19 April 2015 9:32 PM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

With teasers and trailers having dropped for this summer’s Ant-man, this Christmas’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and next summer’s Batman V Superman; Dawn Of Justice, Fox have decided to get in the ring with a full trailer for their big reboot, Fantastic Four. The film, which stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, is once again providing an origin story, but this time it is much more serious than what we were given in 2005.

Director of Chornicle, Josh Trank, takes the helm in an effort to keep the rights at Fox while also improving on the box office take of Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer. I actually enjoyed the last two movies, with them offering a bright and campier film for younger audiences. It was a nice respite from the gloominess of Nolan’s Batman films, Spider-Man’s angst, and X-Men’s social commentary. »

(Doctor) Doom Looms In New Fantastic Four Trailer

19 April 2015 5:58 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Between new looks at Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, franchise aficionados have already enjoyed a very jam-packed week, and now 20th Century Fox is throwing its hat in the ring with an extended trailer for this summer’s Fantastic Four reboot.

Josh Trank’s darker take on the iconic comic book quartet has attracted a strange amount of ire from fanboys, with many complaining that recent previews ape Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and sci-fi Interstellar, but the new trailer for the pic is revealing enough to quell some of those naysayers, at least for a little bit.

In the almost three-minute ad, we get an extended introduction to brainiac Reed Richards (Miles Teller), rough-and-tumble best friend Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) and daredevil Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), even if Susan Storm (Kate Mara) doesn’t get quite as much screen time as one might hope. »

New Fantastic Four Poster Assembles a Different Kind of Team

Not wanting to be left out of the “big movie trailer” fun, 20th Century Fox revealed a new trailer for its upcoming Marvel Comics reboot Fantastic Four earlier this afternoon, and now they’ve released a new poster for the film as well. Directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle), the pic stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell as a team of scientists who find themselves physically transformed after an inter-dimensional mission goes haywire. Today’s new trailer was quite promising, as it highlighted a refreshing sense of humor that proves the film isn’t all doom and gloom, and it also gave us our very first look at Kebbell’s aptly named villain Dr. Doom. Moreover, we learned that Reg E. Cathey plays the father of Mara and Jordan’s characters, and the story looks to find the quartet contemplating what to do with their newfound powers. »

A new trailer for Fantastic Four has debuted online.

The clip offers a quick glimpse of Toby Kebbell's Doctor Doom, and provides a more detailed look at the group adapting to the powers they receive after teleporting to an alternate universe.

Kate Mara's Sue Storm is seen getting to grips with her new invisibility and force field abilities, as Michael B Jordan's Johnny Storm tries to control his flame.

The clip also shows a clear look at Jamie Bell's The Thing, while Miles Teller's Reed Richards feels guilty after his problematic expedition, declaring that he "just wants to fix" his friends.

The upcoming movie re-envisions classic Marvel Comics villain Doctor Doom as an anti-social programmer who turns evil, and he is no longer referred to as Victor Von Doom, but Victor Domashev.
