Five completely new and action-packed TV spots for the upcoming Schwarzenegger‘s movie The Last Stand have arrived, and I’m sure you’re going to love them all! As you’re going to see from these videos, it looks that one quiet town will finally see some action thanks to Sheriff Ray Owens and his inexperienced staff. Retirement? Definitely is for sissies!

Written by Andrew Knauer and directed by Kim Ji-woon, this action thriller focuses on Schwarzenegger’s character, Ray Owens, a retired Lapd officer who now works as a border town sheriff.

Sounds boring until the moment when a notorious cartel leader escapes from FBI custody, so the sheriff and his team will have to stand between the criminals and the Mexican border.

Beside Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Last Stand also stars Zach Gilford, Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzman, Rodrigo Santoro, Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander, Eduardo Noriega, Peter Stormare & Genesis Rodriguez, »

Hiddleston May Not Return For ‘The Avengers 2′

22 December 2012 12:30 AM, PST | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

One of the immeasurable pleasures of The Avengers was Tom Hiddleston’s performance as the villain, Loki. Having played Loki in Thor, The Avengers and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, Hiddleston is now being questioned about his possible role for The Avengers 2. However, it sounds as though Loki will be handing over villain duties for the film set for release in 2015.

I don’t know, and that really is the honest answer. I know I’ve been known for obfuscation in other quarters, but I have no idea, I haven’t spoken to Joss. He’s definitely doing it. So I suspect not, only because I think that probably the audiences are tired of Loki being the bad guy. Maybe the Avengers need somebody else to fight. But I’d love to be part of it again.

As much as I love Loki, he has been the bad guy twice already, »

New 60-Second Spot for The Last Stand, Now with More Jackass

12 December 2012 12:45 PM, PST | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

Check out a new 60-second trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “The Last Stand”, directed by South Korea’s Kim Jee-woon (who may or may not be directing a live-action “Jin-Roh” movie next). Until then, though, he’s got “The Last Stand” to contend with first. This 60-second spot is very Arnold-Johnny Knoxville centric. Apparently the erstwhile jackass has a bigger role in this than previously thought, because he’s featured quite a bit in recent promos for the film, including a recently released poster (above). And he’s all over this new 60-second spot, too. The leader of a drug cartel busts out of a courthouse and speeds to the Mexican border, where the only thing in his path is a sheriff and his inexperienced staff. Also starring Genesis Rodriguez, Luis Guzmán, Peter Stormare, Jaimie Alexander, Forest Whitaker, Rodrigo Santoro, Harry Dean Stanton, Zach Gilford, John Patrick Amedori, Daniel Henney, »

New ‘Last Stand’ Trailer: Arnold Schwarzenegger Assembles the Troops

12 December 2012 12:31 PM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Macho action movie nostalgia returns with a vengeance next year, when Arnold Schwarzenegger emerges from semi-retirement and becomes a leading man once more. The famous Austrian kicks things off with The Last Stand - his tongue planted firmly in cheek – before getting more serious in the prison escape thriller The Tomb, which (re)pairs “Ahnuld” with fellow aging screen titan Sly Stallone.

Last Stand is the Hollywood debut of Korean director Jee-woon Kim, working from a screenplay written by newcomer Andrew Knauer. The cast includes Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World), Rodrigo Santoro (300), Luis Guzmán (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) and Peter Stormare (Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters).

Story-wise, the film revolves around Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger), a crusty sheriff (with a dark past) who represents the law in a sparsely-populated Mexican border town. However, trouble comes a knockin’ ...

New 60-Second Trailer for The Last Stand Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger

12 December 2012 11:40 AM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Lionsgate has released a new one-minute trailer for director Kim Jee-woon’s action film The Last Stand.  The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a retired Lapd officer who now works as a border town sheriff.  When a notorious cartel leader escapes from FBI custody, the sheriff and his ragtag group are all that stand between the criminals and the Mexican border.  This trailer still walks the confusing line between gritty actioner and slapstick comedy, and it’ll be interesting to see if modern audiences are game for a film with this kind of 80s action comedy tone.  Also, is it just me or has Schwarzenegger’s accent actually gotten worse since his tenure as Governator? Hit the jump to watch the trailer.  The film also stars Forest Whitaker, Rodrigo Santoro, Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander, Luis Guzman, Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford and Genesis RodriguezThe Last Stand opens on January 18, 2013.
