‘Loosies’ Trailer Featuring Peter Facinelli, Michael Madsen & Vincent Gallo

5 December 2011 5:00 AM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

Coming off the Twilight series, actor Peter Facinelli is trying his hand in the writing game with Loosies. His screenplay debut is directed Michael Corrente (American Buffalo) and comes out of nowhere, as it is currently on VOD and hitting theaters early next year. Facinelli plays a NYC pickpocket that runs into trouble with some news from a past girlfriend. The low-budget feel is clear, but the plot is somewhat intriguing. With a supporting cast that includes Vincent Gallo, Michael MadsenJoe Pantoliano, and Thor‘s Jaimie Alexander, it could be worth checking out to see if Facinelli has any talent with the pen. Check out the trailer below via Apple.

Synopsis:

A young pickpocket in the New York subways, living a fast, free, lifestyle is confronted by a woman whom he had a one night affair with, she informs him that she is now pregnant with his child, he »

Indie Trailer Sunday: Michael Corrente's 'Loosies' with Peter Facinelli

4 December 2011 1:20 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"My kid's father steals out of old lady's handbags." Today's fun trailer is for an indie drama called Loosies, starring and written by Peter Facinelli, who plays a New York pickpocket (we've had ballerinas, spies, musicians, taxi drivers, now a pickpocket?) that learns he got a girl pregnant, which then flips his world upside, of course. Jaimie Alexander from Thor, who I must admit is absolutely beautiful and talented as all hell, also stars as the girl, Lucy, in this. Michael Madsen, Vincent Gallo and Joe Pantoliano are in it, too. This doesn't look half bad coming out of nowhere, I'm intrigued, give it a shot anyway. Watch below! Watch the official trailer for Michael Corrente's Loosies, also in high def via Apple: A young pickpocket (Facinelli) in the New York City subways, living a fast, free, lifestyle is confronted by a woman (Alexander) whom he had a one night affair with, »

Grrrls With Guns: New Still Images of Kate Beckinsale from Underworld: Awakening and Jaime Alexander from The Last Stand

26 November 2011 4:20 PM, PST | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

The Kate Beckinsale-centric promotional campaign for Underworld: Awakening — both the first and second trailers have focused on Beckinsale's return to the franchise after sitting out of the 2009 prequel Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, and she is the only actor featured on the new poster for the movie — continues with a new still image of Beckinsale as the leather-clad vampire Selene hoisting a hefty gun at an assailant. In Awakening, Selene wakes from a coma to discover that she has a Vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter (India Eisley) and that humanity is finally aware of the existence of the two immortal species and is engaged in an all-out campaign to wipe the creatures from the face of the earth.

Tomb Raider Reboot Will Be a "Character Piece" Says Producer

21 November 2011 2:15 PM, PST | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

Fans of 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003's Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life have been waiting a long time for another installment, but, earlier this year, plans were officially announced for a Tomb Raider reboot, which would go back into the origins of the character and follow a 21-year-old version of the video game character.

As casting rumors continue to circulate (Megan Fox is a no, but Thor's Jaimie Alexander is interested) and Iron Man screenwriters Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby continue to work on the script, producer Graham King (The Departed, The Town) offered ComingSoon a small update on the reboot, which is due for release in 2013.

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently tweeted from the set of The Last Stand, claiming that he got banged up on the set. I think it's safe to say we expect the same adrenaline fueled dose of action we always get from the biggest action star on the planet.

"Got a little banged up on set today. Thanks to the medical staff who got me back in action an hour later!"

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Sheriff Owens, a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after leaving his Lapd post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. Q&A: Peter Facinelli on the End of 'Twilight'

17 November 2011 2:00 PM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Peter Facinelli has left his mark on many movies and TV shows since his debut in "Angela" in 1995, but most moviegoers now know and love the 37-year-old actor as the vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the "Twilight" movies. Carlisle is head of the Cullen clan and Edward's maker, and his compassion and wisdom have helped keep his vampire family together for ages.

Carlisle also hosts the cinematic wedding of the year between Bella and Edward in "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," which opens in theaters on November 18. We caught up with the "father" of the groom as he spoke candidly about the end of "Twilight," playing doctor with chicken breasts, and which item of Carlisle's he once tried to steal.

Forbes magazine calculated that Carlisle Cullen was the wealthiest fictional character because some 350 years of compound interest and investments amassed him a fortune of $34.5 million. How does it feel to be the wealthiest vampire in history? »

What is Movie News After Dark? It’s a nightly movie news column that’s a little tired, a little wired, and it thinks it deserves a little bit of appreciation around here! We begin this evening with a shot of Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville, some old burly man and Thor’s Jamie Alexander on the set of The Last Stand. It’s good to see that The Governator hasn’t lost that charming expression. Sony Pictures has announced that the team behind The Smurfs (2010) are writing a Popeye film that will be produced through Sony Pictures Animation in “glorious stereoscopic 3D.” Which sounds a lot like a 3D animated Popeye movie is coming. If it’s all animated, that sounds like fun. And I won’t be the last to admit that The Smurfs wasn’t bad. Gary Oldman is being sought for the role of Merlin in Warner Bros. upcoming »

[First Look] Arnold Schwarzenegger and Cast In ‘The Last Stand’; Bill Murray Channels Fdr for ‘Hyde Park on Hudson’

3 November 2011 3:42 PM, PDT | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

As the headline tells you, right above is your first look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and some of his co-stars in the currently-shooting The Last Stand. The actor tweeted this photo from the set, showing (from left to right) Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville, he, and Jaimie Alexander in their law enforcement garb. I don’t intend to be mean — honest — but it’s odd how Schwarzenegger looks younger than Knoxville, a man nearly 24 years his junior. To be fair, if you were on Jackass for a decade…

Kim Ji-woon‘s English-language debut also stars Peter Stormare, Rodrigo Santoro, Zach Gilford, and Harry Dean Stanton, and has a script by Andrew Knauer, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and George Nolfi that centers on “a cop in a border town as he tries to prevent a Mexican drug cartel leader from escaping to his home country.” Short story: Arnold is back to wreak havoc. New Set Photos from Gangster Squad and Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Comeback The Last Stand

3 November 2011 12:08 PM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

New set photos have gone online for the 1940s crime drama Gangster Squad, and for Arnold Schwarzenegger's comeback film The Last Stand.  Back in September, we saw Gangster Squad set photos of co-stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone enjoying a lovely day in the park.  The new set photos show Stone and co-star Sean Penn sharing a scene, and Stone looks particularly glamorous.  I'm a big fan of the setting, and the costumes look terrific. And some costumes look a little stranger.  The first set photo from Kim Ji-Woon's The Last Stand shows Schwarzenegger along with co-stars Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville, and Jaimie Alexander.  I'm not sure why Alexander and Schwarzenegger are holding tommy guns if the film is set in the present day, but I'm even more confused by Knoxville's outfit.  It looks like a modified version of Kang-ho Song's costume from Ji-Woon's The Good, the Bad, »

Celebrity Twitter accounts make some first-look reveals pretty easy. I'm surprised it has taken this long for Arnold Schwarzenegger to tweet out a cast photo from his new action movie The Last Stand.
