Jack Kenny is an award-winning, writer, producer and director. With over 30 years of production experience in the Film/Television industry ranging from writing & directing to finance. Jack has worked in many genres including narrative feature films, animation and documentaries.
Jack is the Writer/Director of the feature film "Town Diary" starring Terry O'Quinn and David Andrews, Winner of Best Director Award: New York Independent Film Festival & Atlantic City Film Festival. Winner Best Mystery: New York Independent Film Festival Best Screenplay Nomination Los Angeles Method-Fest. Official Selection: Newport Beach Film Festival, Tiburon Film Festival, Los Angeles Independent Festival, Long Island Film Festival and Cannes (out of competition). Jack is the Producer/Director of over 500 commercials and PSAs. He is the creator of the animated "Dudley the Dinosaur" cartoon character. The "Dudley" PSA series has aired over one million times in the U.S. surpassing "Smokey the Bear" as the most aired animated PSA character. The "Dudley" children's video series has won over 100 TV/Video awards.
A composer of children's songs and jingles, Jack's songs have aired over 150,000 times on U.S. television. He is a founding member of the Potato Head Children's Theatre Group and the original producer/director of the Imagine Tree Learning videos series for Random House. The producer of numerous documentary programs on various subjects from "The Meth Epidemic" to "Iraqi War Vets". Jack has shot worldwide from Europe to South America and in 44 states. His programs have aired throughout the world and on PBS and Lifetime.
Jack has also written fourteen original feature film screenplays including "Town Diary", "Karma Patient"," Boy Code"," Ghost Hearts", "A Drop in the Grey", "The Reversal Life", " Daylight Vamps", "Spirit Money", "Kell's Best Day" and "The Lamp of Childhood". Jack is the writer - star of one man show "When Smoke Turns to Gold" A noted film historian and film poster collector "The Jack Kenny Collection" is one the largest privately held poster collections in the United States.
Jack was a professional fisherman and is responsible with his brother Kevin for removing over 500,000 clams by foot out of Long Island's Great South Bay.
Odds and Ends: Born in New York City, a graduate of New York Institute of Technology (B.F.A.) and a former Adjunct Instructor at Columbia College.
