After the red band trailer for The To Do List hit not long ago, a green band version is now available, and frankly, both are oddly interesting to me. Here’s a movie that I just can’t figure out, because if I’m being honest, I really want to hate it.
Why is this movie (especially the red band trailer) sucking me in, when so many other films that I would have to lump in with it manage to alienate me so completely?
Sure, I’m an Aubrey Plaza fan, and a lot of the rest of the cast works for me as well, but other films have stars that I generally like, and it doesn’t make a difference.
I suppose there is a chance that this will be one of those movies that puts all the good stuff in the trailer, and turns out an empty final product, »

Catch the red and green band movie trailers for The To Do List starring Aubrey Plaza. The film from CBS Films opens in theaters from July 26th, 2013. A lot of people are going to loathe or love this one, and it's not exactly a poster child for your daughter to follow, that's a given. Still, it looks like a blast and certainly not Just a chick flick. Also in the cast of the film also known as "The Hand Job," are Johnny Simmons, Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat, Sarah Steele, Rachel Bilson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Scott Porter, Andy Samberg, Connie Britton and Clark Gregg. The To Do List is comedy about close friends and a special summer project, loosely inspired by the real-life adventures of first-time writer/director Maggie Carey. Earlier this month, we saw the red-band trailer for The To-Do List, and now the all-audiences trailer has been released. The film stars Aubrey Plaza as a sexually inexperienced teenager with a type-a personality who decides to engage in numerous sex acts before she goes to college. This green-band trailer is basically the red-band trailer but with all of the R-rated material removed. There isn't much in the way of new jokes, and the ones that are there are kind of disappointing. Perhaps I'm just missing the humor in her ignorance of common sexual terms (it takes place in the 90s, so Urban Dictionary doesn't exist), and the old joke about someone losing their bathing suit in the pool. Hit the jump to check out the trailer. The impressive cast also includes Alia Shawkat, Bill Hader, Donald Glover, Rachel Bilson, Andy Samberg, Johnny Simmons, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, »

Prepping for the comedy's July 26th, 2013 release date, CBS has added a fresh trailer for the comedy which includes Aubrey Plaza, Johnny Simmons, Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat, Sarah Steele, Rachel Bilson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Scott Porter, Andy Samberg, Connie Britton and Clark Gregg. The To Do List is a comedy about close friends and a special summer project, loosely inspired by the real-life adventures of first-time writer/director Maggie Carey. Set in 1993, valedictorian Brandy Klark wants to shed her uptight image before college, so she assembles a to do list of all the “activities” she missed out on in high school. Quickly realizing that she's way out of her depth, Brandy solicits her best friends, older sister and burnt-out boss for their help and advice. If the group is going to complete the list by September they'll need plenty of imagination and very open minds. »

Led by the ever-brilliant young Aubrey Plaza, The To Do List is an absolute must-see comedy of the summer.
We saw an awesome new red-band trailer for the movie last week, and if the finished product lives up to the expectations that set, then it’s going to be a huge hit. Its summer release date is not at all far off, and now a cheeky first poster has made its way online.

A few days ago we posted a raunchy red band trailer for the upcoming comedy The To Do List. That very funny trailer showed Aubrey Plaza seeking to rid herself of sexual inexperience before heading off to college. Today, we have the first poster for the film which has the bold and witty slogan: She’s going from straight A’s to getting her first F.
Get it? See the innuendo there? Okay, just making sure we’re on the same page. While this poster is nothing revolutionary in the realm of film art, it showcases all the characters and gets the job done. But if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, you really need to watch it. It’s absolutely hilarious as far as trailers go, and it certainly has me excited for the film.
The other thing that has me excited is the fact Plaza is starring. »

We've seen plenty of variations on the quest to lose one's virginity in the movies, but Aubrey Plaza's character in The To Do List is putting her own unique spin on the story. About to head to college in 1993, straight-a student Brandy wants a course on one more thing before she gets to her campus: sex. Egged on by her friends (Alia Shawkat, Sarah Steele), she aims to gain experience in every, er, act possible. Her target? The sexy lifeguard at her local pool, played by real-life sexy person Scott Porter. The red band trailer gives a lot more detail than the teaser from a few months ago, and we get a look at more stars. Plaza is perfect for this role, but what I'm most excited about is that this movie is Packed with my favorite TV and comedy stars: pool manager Bill Hader is caught red-handed with »

Even if you aren't in love with "Parks and Recreation" star Aubrey Plaza — and by this point, who isn't? — the red-band trailer for her new movie "The To-Do List" features so many familiar faces, you're bound to come across someone — likely a TV star — you love. First, you'll notice Alia Shawkat, best known for playing Maeby Funke on "Arrested Development." Here, she's one of Plaza's best friends (the other is Sarah Steele who you probably know from watching "Spanglish" too many times on TBS), there to console her after being laughed off the stage by Christopher Mintz-Plasse during her valedictorian speech. Maeby is on a mission to get her uptight Bff some boys, and Plaza reluctantly sets her sights on a long-haired Scott Porter ("Friday Night Lights," "Hart of Dixie"). Afraid he won't be interested due to her sexual inexperience — a ridiculous idea considering the one-track minds of high school »

CBS Films has released a second Red Band trailer for their upcoming comedy The To Do List. The new clip offers tons of new footage, and somewhat of a new vibe. Check it out below:
The To Do List turns the raunchy teen comedy on its head and focuses on the female perspective of wanting to have sex for the very first time. The film follows Brandy Klark (Aubrey Plaza), a Type-a, overachiever who comes up with a “to-do list” featuring all the risqué extra-curricular activities she missed out on in high school and wants to complete before college.
The film also stars Rachel Bilson, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Scott Porter, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Steele and Alia Shawkat. The comedy hits theaters July 26. Here’s the new trailer:

It’s not uncommon to make a to do list in order to prioritize your summer plans. But it’s safe to say most people’s lists don’t consist of everything Aubrey Plaza’s character has in mind in The To Do List, considering her list is filled with mastering every sexual act imaginable, whether it be elegant or surprising.
Today, we get a new red band trailer for the film, and raunchy is definitely the word most appropriate to describe the footage. The story follows Brandy Klark (Plaza), a high school valedictorian and virgin who vows to gain sexual experience before stepping onto a college campus. She is completely clueless though, so she turns to a dictionary, her older sister, her friends, and her boss for help along the way.
This serves as the directorial debut for Funny or Die writer and producer Maggie Carey, who also wrote the screenplay. »

Hitting Us cinemas in the height of summer, The To Do List is definitely shaping up to be one of the funniest films of the year.
The comedy sees Aubrey Plaza take the lead at the top of an absolutely terrific cast. Originally slated for release back in February, the film saw its release date do a little shuffle for a more prominent summer slot. And now Yahoo Movies have released a hilarious new red-band trailer, which very much earns its restricted rating.

CBS Films has released a new red-band trailer for writer/director Maggie Carey's comedy The To-Do List. The film stars Aubrey Plaza as a sexually inexperienced teenager with a type-a personality who decides to engage in numerous sex acts before she goes to college. As we saw in the previous trailer, The To-Do List looks like a fantastic starring vehicle for Plaza, and the laughs don't stop in this new red-band trailer. It's been a while since we've seen a genuinely funny sex comedy, and between the 90s setting and the incredibly talented ensemble cast (Bill Hader, unsurprisingly, is the standout in this trailer), The To-Do List looks like it could be a worthy entry in the genre. Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film also stars Alia Shawkat, Donald Glover, Rachel Bilson, Andy Samberg, Mae Whitman, Johnny Simmons, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Scott Porter. »

What's on your to do list this summer? Maybe get a job, ask that girl or guy out who works at that store downtown and perhaps spend some long weekends with some friends. Either way, we're betting your list isn't quite the same as Brandy's in "The To Do List." Unless handjobs are an essential part of your summer plans.... The brand new trailer for the raunchy sex comedy "The Do List" is here, in which our hero, played by Aubrey Plaza, crosses of a variety of "--jobs" from her list. Ahem. The story follows Brandy, who is getting ready to hit college in the fall, as she decides to get some "experience" before classes start and embarks on a quest to cross off all manner of sexual acts from her list, rounding up friends and sibling to help accomplish this feat and offer advice. It's a pretty audacious comedy concept, »

Maggie Carey, director of “The To-Do List” has big plans for her 20-year high-school reunion in June at Borah High School in Boise, Idaho.
She’s trying to arrange for a screening of the CBS Films’ comedy — set in 1993 in Boise and based partly on her experiences as a Type A high-achiever. In the movie, Aubrey Plaza portrays a tightly wound high school senior who decides methodically while working as a lifeguard that she will lose her virginity by the end of the summer with the help of friends, played by Alia Shawkat and Sarah Steele, and her older sister, played by Rachel Bilson.
Carey, along with husband, Bill Hader and Plaza, came to CinemaCon to promote the micro-budget “The To-Do List” — which carries a $1.2 million price tag — at a well-received late-night screening Wednesday at the Orleans multiplex a mile away from Caesars Palace, where nearly all of the four-day event took place. »
