Ex-Frat Brothers Get Jail in Pledge's 2013 Hazing Death: 'Not One Person ... Called an Ambulance'

Three former fraternity brothers from New York City’s Baruch College were sentenced to jail Monday in connection with the 2013 hazing death of a pledge in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, according to multiple reports.

Their fraternity, Pi Delta Psi, was also banned from Pennsylvania for ten years and fined $112,000, according to multiple reports.

On Monday, in Monroe County Court in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, former Pi Delta Psi fraternity brother Kenny Kwan, 28, was sentenced to 12 to 24 months in county jail for his role in the death of fraternity pledge Chun “Michael” Deng in 2013, The Morning Call of Allentown reports.

Four Fraternity Members Plead Guilty in ‘Absolutely Preventable’ Hazing Death of Baruch College Freshman
Four fraternity members charged with murder in the 2013 hazing death of a Baruch College freshman Michael Deng pleaded guilty to reduced charges in a Pennsylvania courtroom as part of a deal with prosecutors, People confirms.

In December, officials say the four men — Kenny Kwan, 28, Charles Lai, 26, Raymond Lam, 23, and Sheldon Wong, 24 — will be sentenced pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and hindering apprehension.

Lawyers for the four defendants could not be reached for comment Tuesday.

Deng, 18, and the only child of Chinese immigrants, died on a fraternity trip to the Poconos in Pennsylvania during the winter of 2013.

Yee inked to produce 3 HD pics for STAR
HONG KONG -- Veteran director Derek Yee has signed on to produce three new HD projects for STAR's Chinese Movies channel. The first of these, Pandora's Booth, started production May 5. A love story starring pop idols Fiona Sit and Kenny Kwan, the film is directed by Mak Kai-kwong and is expected to make their exclusive television premiers on STAR Chinese Movies across Asia.
