It’s not often we get to see a feature-length nature documentary on the big screen, but Disneynature’s Chimpanzee certainly looks as though it has the potential to be pretty successful next year.
We got the teaser trailer for the film back in April, and now Yahoo Movies have put up the film’s first full-length trailer, and it’s pretty dramatic and intense stuff! There’s something about nature documentaries, they seem to have a way of being able to have such a wide reach, and the true story of a three-year-old orphaned chimpanzee who is then raised by an adult chimp should make for a dramatic documentary.
The film is co-directed by Emmy-winning directors Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield, who’ve worked with Disneynature before on 2007’s Earth, which took more than $100m. at the box office four years ago. Let’s hope they can reproduce some of that success with Chimpanzee. »
