Marc Emmers
Marc Emmers is a retired Belgian association football player from Belgian Limburg, Flanders. A right-footed versatile midfielder, Emmers was known for his technique and refined control of the ball. The teams for which he shone are mainly KV Mechelen and RSC Anderlecht. With the former, Emmers won the UEFA European Cup Winners Cup in 1988 as they surprisingly beat Ajax from the Netherlands in the final. He also won the Belgian first division with the club in 1989. In the 1990s he won the Belgian league three times in a row as an RSC Anderlecht player. Capped 37 times for the Belgian national team, Emmers was part of their squad at the 1990 and 1994 FIFA World Cups.
