In the crime thriller Green Room, a young punk rock band find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a horrific act of violence, fighting for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads intent on eliminating all witnesses.

Patrick Stewart plays Darcy Banker, the unflinching and industrial leader of a ferocious white supremacist fiefdom based in the Pacific Northwest. Patrick Stewart has been cast in crime thriller Green Room.

The veteran actor has joined Imogen Poots and Anton Yelchin in writer-director Jeremy Saulnier's follow-up to Blue Ruin, reports The Wrap.

The film centres around a punk band who find themselves trapped in a remote venue after a killing during their performance.

An angry, racist gang tears the place apart while the band takes refuge in the green room.

Stewart will play ruthless industrialist and white supremacist Darcy Banker.

Alia Shawkat, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, Mark Webber, Kai Lennox and Eric Edelstein will also feature in the film.

Stewart was most recently seen reprising his role as Professor X in X-Men: Days of Future Past and will next appear in Stephen Belber's Match.

Green Room will begin shooting this month for release in 2015. »
