Met Paul McCartney at the Daily Star Awards ceremony in 1999, a year since his first wife, Linda McCartney, had died. They didn't get a chance to talk. However, Paul was touched by Heather's speech and contacted her. Paul McCartney was invited by Heather Mills to her 32th birthday in 2000. In March of 2000, they announced that they were a couple after months of secrecy. In July of 2001, Paul proposed to her, they married in 2002, had a daughter in 2003, and separated in 2006.

On August 8, 1993, she walked across the street and was hit by a police motorcycle. She injured her pelvis, punctured her lung, and lost her left lower leg (below the knee). She is helping others who have lost their arms and legs so that they can enjoy life again

Her father abused his children until he was arrested when Heather was 13 and the children were sent to live with their mother. Her father later had another child, Claire, while her mother died in 1989.
