While he’s set to shoot two films back-to-back this summer and fall, Terrence Malick also has another film in the can and after going through some possible titles, including The Burial, it looks like the romantic drama has finally got it’s official name. The official Classifications & Rating Administration has revealed the name to be To the Wonder and it’s rating of R for “some sexuality/nudity.”
While we have no details on what that title actually refers to, this classification is a promising one, as it usually means the film is in its final stages of completion. It does state a 2012 release, but those are normally just thrown in there as a guess. Hopefully we’ll hear more when it likely hits the Cannes marketplace for buyers. Check out a synopsis of the film which stars Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Olga Kurylenko, Javier Bardem, Rachel Weisz, Barry Pepper, »

The road to the silver screen for the Red Dawn remake has been long, winding, confusing, aggravating, borderline offensive and, finally, tiresome. Open Road, who picked up distribution rights for the film for a November 2012 release late last year from Film District, appears to have dumped the film off…to Film District, which is now releasing the film on November 21st, 2012 [Box Office Mojo]. Both companies are in flux financially (when considering Film District’s underperforming Drive and Open Road’s disastrous Killer Elite last year), so the flip flop doesn’t seem so far-fetched.
Principal photography on the film began in September of 2009, working with a reported budget of around $60 million, a full three years before the film’s scheduled release date. After wrap, the remake suffered an array of setbacks, most notably the short-lived demise of its production company MGM and the controversy generated over the remake’s choice of villain: China. »

Terrence Malick, notoriously known for the gaps between his films, has recently become just a little bit prolific.
Last year saw him take the Palme d’Or at Cannes for The Tree of Life. His next (currently untitled) film is in post-production and stars Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Jessica Chastain, Javier Bardem Rachel Weisz, Amanda Peet, Michael Sheen, and Olga Kurylenko.
And he’s got two more feature films currently on his slate, both of which will star Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, and Natalie Portman; the tentatively-/previously-titled Lawless will also star Ryan Gosling in the lead, Rooney Mara, and Haley Bennett; and Knight of Cups will also star Isabel Lucas.
And now it looks like yet another famous face has been added to the line-up of one or both of those two upcoming films in the form of the brilliant Wes Bentley.

Actress-turned-fashion designer Ashley Olsen has reportedly rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Jared Leto.
The couple was spotted dining out at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night and, according to the New York Daily News, Olsen and the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman couldn't keep their hands off each other.
The 25 year old tenderly embraced Leto and later laid her head in his lap before they left together, reports the publication.
The pair dated in 2005 and was thought to have reunited for a short time in 2008 after Olsen and the singer/actor were seen kissing.
Leto was previously engaged to actress Cameron Diaz and dated Charlize Theron. He was most recently linked to socialite Lydia Hearst-Shaw and Adrian Grenier's ex-girlfriend Isabel Lucas.
Former child star Olsen ended her three-year relationship with actor Justin Bartha last year. »

Josh Hutcherson in "The Hunger Games"
Photo: Lionsgate
Those of you who've seen "The Hunger Games" will more than likely agree with our sentiment that there are a number of things to love about the weekend's box-office dominator. The film's success is first and foremost due to author Suzanne Collins' brilliance, followed by director Gary Ross' sleek and stylish take on the adaptation and, of course, the performances of the very talented cast.
One of those standout performances is Josh Hutcherson's portrayal of loyal and lovable boy with the bread Peeta Mellark. He's so good in the film we just can't wait to see what he does with the character's arc in "Catching Fire." Unfortunately, we have to wait about 20 months until that happens, so in the meantime, »

Australian actress Isabel Lucas has pledged to plant 100 trees if fans join her in a challenge to save the environment.
The Transformers star is supporting Earth Hour 2012, which encourages the public to switch off their lights for 60 minutes on 31 March to conserve energy and encourage sustainability.
And she's promised to personally plant 100 trees if 100 of her fans prove they have done the same.

Considering director Tarsem Singh and screenwriters Vlas and Charley Parlapanides come from cultures steeped in mythology, you would think Immortals might have a touch of fidelity to the ancient source material. Instead, this incredibly generic looking film barely pays attention to even the most basic elements of the gods, goddesses, and creatures that interacted with man once upon a time. The film, out on home video now from 20th Century Home Entertainment, pays some lip-service to the stories once told to enthrall the masses and focuses on the handsome, well-oiled Theseus, our mortal hero. Played by the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill, he’s used to larger-than-life figures and gamely works his way through a bland script that pales in comparison with the best of Harryhausen and even the various myth-based films of the last few years.
The story in short involves the bad king Hyperion (Mickey Rourke), who wants »

Hollywood has long had a love affair with sword-and-sandal epics. The issue is that while stories set in Rome are more accessible for modern audiences, tales of ancient Greece are less so, mostly because so many of the tales have been mythologized over the centuries. Modern film-goers don’t seem to be able – or are unwilling to – accept a story where Ancient Gods interfere with the lives of mortals. And while these stories are brilliant and beautiful, writers have gone out of their way to try to take the mythology out of these tales in order to make them more believable for the modern viewer. In recent years we’ve seen films like Alexander, Troy and others that try to tell a very human story of ancient Greece, but fail in that it feels like there’s only half of the story there.

Charlize Theron, Snow White and the Huntsman Chris Hemsworth announces that a new Snow White and the Huntsman trailer is coming out soon — Monday. He then offers a "sneak peek" (please scroll down) at what we're about to see. And what we're about to see looks and sounds quite impressive. [Watch earlier Snow White and the Huntsman trailer.] Elsewhere on this site, we've posted previews for Tarsem Singh's Mirror Mirror and Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Both are also "fairy-tales" set in a fantasy world resembling Europe during the Middle Ages. Judging by the trailers, as far as I'm concerned Snow White and the Huntsman (aka Swath) is the most esthetically appealing of the three. It's also the most intriguing; in other words, the one I'd most like to check out at a movie theater. The tone is dark — perfectly appropriate for a fantasy tale set in the Dark Ages. The score is both thrilling and evocative. »

Immortals director Tarsem has revealed that his blood-soaked fantasy epic had to be cut due to its violence and suggestions of incest between the Gods and Isabel Lucas's Athena. Speaking to Digital Spy, the Fall filmmaker admitted that he wanted to change the screen portrayal of Greek gods, who are often played by senior actors such as Sir Laurence Olivier and Liam Neeson in the Clash of the Titans films. "If you want live forever, you want to live forever looking young," he said. "You wouldn't want to live forever looking like you've got a catheter in your hand. With that in mind, I thought you want someone with the wisdom of a person who's lived forever but not the body of a person who's lived forever." Of the initial plans to show an incestuous relationship among the gods, who include Zeus (Luke Evans), (more) »

Michael Bay is a man that knows what he likes and one thing that definitely fits in that category is beautiful women. Since making his feature debut in 1995, Bay has never failed to include at least one beauty in his cast, be it Téa Leoni, Vanessa Marcil, Liv Tyler, Kate Beckinsale, Gabrielle Union, Scarlett Johansson, Megan Fox, Isabel Lucas or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. And if you think just because his next film, Pain and Gain, is a smaller affair it won't contain any hotties, then you are sadly mistaken. Per Variety, Bay has enlisted Israeli supermodel Bar Paly to play the lead female role in his upcoming crime comedy. The report also says that Tony Shalhoub, who has all but completely fallen off the map since the end of the Emmy winning series Monk, has also signed on. Based on a true story, the film is about two muscle-headed bodybuilders »
