- Danny was born in Hong Kong, China. His father was a professional chef and his mother, a seamstress. To this day, Danny cooks his own meals and does his own alterations.
In his early childhood, he attended Catholic School and acted in his school's theatrical productions. Acting was something he really enjoyed as a child. His fondest memory of acting in that school was playing the role of Santa Claus in one of the Christmas plays. His mother was there with Roast Pork Noodle Soup, still one of his favorites dishes.
As a young adult, along with the usual routine of school and part time jobs, Danny extended his acting hobby by producing several Public Access Television shows, one of which had aired 42 episodes and had gathered quite a cult following. Danny said "it was a great feeling to have people on the street say hello because they have seen the show".
Work begets work they say.. as time went on, Danny worked on many projects meeting tons of wonderful people along the way. Then one day, after working on a medical themed project, Danny decided to study EMS. This decision changed his life because it was the point where he found the love for medicine. It is at this point in time his career split into two paths. The entertainment industry and EMS. The medical path led to his certification as an EMT, followed by his certification as an EMS Instructor, which led to his pursuit of the highest level of EMS certification in the nation: Paramedic.
No man can live two separate lives forever. Acting found its way into his medical work where it added great value to his work as an instructor, making lessons for his students entertaining as well as educational which led to generations of better EMTs hitting the streets. At the same time, his medical side found its way into his acting work where he portrayed medical roles with a level of realism and accuracy that only a genuine medical professional can.
It is very common in show business for actors to claim that they are a real paramedic (when they are not) just to get a part, so when the people on sets eventually realized Danny was actually real, they would go to him with all kinds questions. Wardrobe with costume questions, Props with equipment questions, HMU with effects questions, and even people going to him with actual health questions about whatever is bothering them. Naturally, Danny became a Set Medic as well as a Technical Advisor.
After years of working as a set medic, The Covid-19 Pandemic came and the Field of Covid Compliance was born. The industry naturally needed set medics to fill these new positions and Danny have been working non-stop ever since.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Danny Lee
