Mini Bio (1)
Raised in Central Illinois, Arizona, and Georgia before traveling the world in the military and later for the government, Daryl periodically took advantage of his then local arts scene to do plays and performance. After completing his B.A. in Psychology and graduate program in Communication Management at the University of North Texas, Daryl created the acclaimed anti-PTSD production of "The Wall Within", a healing performance documentary for Vietnam veterans. Prior to relocating to Los Angeles after 9/11 to pursue an acting career, Daryl trained for two years with the father of improv, Del Close at the Improv Olympics in Chicago. Arriving in LA, he spent the next two years with Academy Award winning director, Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Theater. During this time he co-wrote and began a four year dinner theater run as his personal character, Brigadier General Armstrong, the father of a bride at a lesbian wedding entitled, "Joni and Gina's Wedding". In 2006, Daryl left the Wedding to an understudy in order to travel to Twentynine Palms where he spent two years in very real acting as a role player training Marines for urban and cultural duties in Iraq and Afghanistan. Daryl returned unable to walk for two years due to excruciating pain in his right leg that resulted from a training accident. During recuperation, he studied hypnotherapy at the Hypnosis Motication Institute and Entrepreneurship at CEO Space. Daniel now acts in productions that excite him and teaches classes in communication, visualization, self-hypnosis, and acting on the meta-map, his personal contribution to the art.
