Dead Rising: Endgame Review

10 July 2016 2:33 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

I don’t understand Crackle’s Dead Rising franchise. Capcom built this zany, wild video game universe that’d be perfect for a hybrid experience somewhere between The Warriors and 28 Days Later, yet these movies are generically neutered. References to original content are just lazy winks, while the whole “psychopaths” arc is completely abandoned in favor of a boring Zombrex conspiracy. I was hoping that Dead Rising: Endgame would atone for Watchtower‘s forgettable adaptation, but, unfortunately, new director Pat Williams falls victim to the same dull tricks from Zach Lipovsky’s first attempt.

Jesse Metcalfe once again stars as investigative journalist Chase Carter, who must journey into the heart of East Mission to stop General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert) from killing every Zombrex-using survivor. Since the first film, technology has been developed that releases Zombrex doses through an implanted chip, but Lyons wants to overload the system and use the »

First Trailer for Comedy 'Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life'

7 July 2016 3:22 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Rules aren't for everyone." CBS Films has unveiled the first official trailer for the film Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, an adaptation of the bestselling book series of the same name. Young actor Griffin Gluck stars as Rafe Katchadorian, a boy with a "wild imagination" bored of middle school who decides to break every rule and see what happens, bringing along his friends with him. The full cast includes Lauren Graham, Rob Riggle, Thomas Barbusca, Andy Daly and Adam Pally, and Efren Ramirez. This looks like it might be entertaining, I like the hand-drawn text they use throughout the trailer. Have fun. First trailer (+ poster) for Steve Carr's Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, from YouTube: A quiet teenage artist Rafe Katchadorian (played by Griffin Gluck) has a wild imagination and is sick of middle school and the rules that have been put before him. »

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 – Review

Okay film fans, are you all set for the big sequel storming the multiplex this weekend. No, not that one, the one with the caped combatants. Instead of spandex think….Windex. This is the follow-up that most movie-goers of a…ahem…certain age have been clamoring for since the original shocked and stunned Hollywood fourteen (gasp!) years ago. That’s because this lil’ flick with no big marquee stars, which cost a paltry five million, went on to gross just under a quarter of a billion bucks. So what took em’ so long, you may ask. Well, there was a TV show in 2003 that CBS canned after just seven episodes. Tis’ a distant memory, one that will be erased when the whole gang is back for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. So pass the ouzo! Opa!
