The nature of sketch comedy means that anything can happen. It’s an inherent feature of the form, one that can lead to some truly transcendent weirdness and some pretty bland filler. Take Key & Peele, for example: By being a sketch show, they are able to do things like have a silent short commenting on the Trayvon Martin case and racial profiling, and have goofy things like the East/West Bowl sketches (“Everybody’s talking about Fudge”). But because anything can happen, this invites unevenness into a sketch show more easily than in other programs. The main goal of any good sketch show, other than being funny, should be consistency. With SNL, that consistency can come from a variety of places, but it’s always a little refreshing when it comes from… »

The ‘80s were a great time for action movies – a time when men like Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Mel Gibson kicked ass while sporting hilarious mullets, lots of denim, and copious catchphrases. Comedy Central’s Key & Peele take us back to this magical era in this hysterical new trailer for Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning. To paraphrase the Wu-Tang Clan, you best protect your neck while watching this one. Keegan Michael Key stars as Cal Flavell, the actor headlining this clip that looks like it could have come straight out of Cannon Films in 1986. Flavell has to infiltrate the home of a Colombian drug lord (Jordan Peele) to save the damsel in distress. He has a gift for dispatching bad guys in a unique way. The clip really nails all the things that made...

I’d get to be P.T. Barnum.” Plus: Will Harris save variety — or bury it? This is how the “Game of Thrones” Iron Throne is supposed to look Martin has said the show got the Iron Throne wrong: "I said repeatedly the Iron Throne is huge.
