Chennai, April 7: Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, who has been working on a war sequence for the last few months for an upcoming Telugu period-drama, has successfully finished shooting for it. He says it wouldn't have been possible without the support of his team.
"We have completed shooting a major portion of the war sequences. It was a heavy schedule and I have to thank all those who helped me complete it - from the boys in the gym to those who were toiling in the sun from morning to evening," Rajamouli told Ians.
"Everybody worked with so much enthusiasm and I don't think I could have pulled it off without them," he added.

Rajamouli will be joined by Tamil filmmaker S. Shankar at the event.
"Rajamouli and Shankar have agreed to grace the film's audio launch. Since our film is the remake of 'Maryada Ramanna', we felt it would be nice to have the blessings of Rajamouli sir at the event," the film's director Srinath told Ians.
While the Telugu version introduced comedian Sunil Varma in the lead, actor Santhanam has reprised his role in the Tamil version.

Chennai, March 25: Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has said that he is not working on any other project besides his ambitious Telugu period-drama "Baahubali". He has also refuted rumours about teaming up with actor Allu Arjun.
"Though I (would) love to work with Bunny (Allu Arjun), there hasn't been any plan or talks yet. All you see are mere speculations. (I) won't be planning anything till 'Baahubali' is over," posted Rajamouli on his Twitter page.

Chennai, March 18: Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali" may be scheduled to hit the marquee in 2015, but the team is constantly preparing to ensure a highly satisfying output. In a special video, the team has offered simple tips for students to prepare for examinations.
In a funny video posted on the film's Facebook page, tips are offered to students who are currently taking school exams in the country.

Chennai, Feb 27: Team "Baahubali" has started a campaign called 'Star of the Week' to reward those who have constantly shown their commitment towards the making of the film, which will come out in 2015.
This week, three background artists Ghouse, Lagaan and Srinu have been awarded for their hard work.

S.S. Rajamouli's upcoming film, Baahubali, becomes the highest spender of VFX in Indian cinema, as he will be spending over Rs. 85 crores for the VFX in the film. Also, since Baahubali is a period action drama, it boasts of a never-before-heard budget to create a visual extravaganza
Rajamouli has used VFX extensively before in his films like Makkhi, but this ambitious project of the director promises to take it a notch higher. Since the film is set in medieval India, the VFX team will create, extend and enhance the fictional kingdoms, forts and palaces in all their glory, along with creating beautiful landscapes. Apart from it, they will also be involved in creating several realistic action sequences, some of which involve animals.

Hyderabad, Jan 22: Akkineni Nageswara Rao (Anr) passed away Wednesday and celebrities like Madhur Bhandarkar and S.S. Rajamouli remember him as "the doyen" and "towering father figure" of Telugu cinema.
Nageswara Rao was 89.

Chennai, Jan 18: Veteran actor Krishnam Raju, known for films such as "Bullet" and "Prema Tarangalu", hopes to revive his long-delayed Telugu project "Okka Adugu" this year with his nephew Prabhas Varma, a popular actor in the industry.
"Prabhas and I will come together for this film. The script is finalised and I have also found a producer. We plan to take the film on floors this year and I might direct it as well if I don't find someone who shares my sensibilities about the film," Krishnam told Ians.
