Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is a fantastic horror comedy. Eli Craig‘s directorial debut is a sweet, bloody as hell and consistently funny film with two standout performances. Craig has reunited with the star of his first movie, Tyler Labine, for his second feature, Little Evil. The Netflix comedy stars Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) and Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man) as a newly wed […]

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Evangeline Lilly Is Marvel's Unsung Female Co-Lead

19 hours ago | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

With all of the hype and excitement over Marvel's first female-led superhero film, Captain Marvel, it might be easy to overlook the fact that Carol Danvers isn't the only female headliner in the McU. Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), daughter of uber-scientist Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and partner to rehabilitated criminal Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), is the Wasp -- a crucially-important Marvel character who was a founding member of the Avengers (in the comics, of course).

Director Peyton Reed's upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp is a pure team-up movie, and while it's obviously not led by Van Dyne, she's clearly the co-lead in this film -- it's really unfortunate that this isn't getting more coverage. Lilly has carved out a really interesting career since her breakout role in ABC's Lost TV series; she's appeared in The Hurt Locker (2008), Real Steel (2011), and two of the Hobbit films -- in each »

Adam Scott Battles an Evil Child in First Trailer for Netflix's 'Little Evil'

21 hours ago | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"There is nothing wrong with Lucas!" Netflix has released the official trailer for an indie horror comedy titled Little Evil, the latest from Eli Craig, director of the other great horror comedy Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Remember that one? We covered it closely when it opened back in 2010. Little Evil stars Adam Scott as a man who marries the woman of his dreams, played by Evangeline Lilly. The only problem is that her child is the antichrist. Also starring Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Tyler Labine, Donald Faison, Chris D'Elia, and Owen Atlas as Lucas. This looks good, don't think we've seen many comedies making fun of the evil child horror trope, but I'm up for this. Glad to see something new from Eli Craig, too. Enjoy. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Eli Craig's Little Evil, direct from Netflix's YouTube: Meet Gary (Adam Scott). He just married »

Coming Distractions: Adam Scott is the antichrist’s stepdad in the Little Evil trailer

21 hours ago | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

Proving there’s still mileage in the old cliché about kids making your life hell, the new Netflix film Little Evil has a trailer implying that marrying someone who gave birth to the antichrist might make for some hiccups on your romantic journey together. Adam Scott stars as Gary, a guy who just married the love of his life, Samantha (Evangeline Lilly), and finds himself playing stepfather to her five-year-old son, Lucas. But a series of worrying events—including Lucas barking orders at him in a low, raspy growl, and watching the kid burn people alive—has him wondering if maybe Samantha’s kid may not just be the spawn of Satan. And really, her story about giving birth while she was part of a demonic cult doesn’t help matters.

It all looks like it has the potential to be some cheesy garbage, but along with the presence of »

Love, Family And The Antichrist Combine In Offbeat Trailer For Netflix’s Little Evil

21 hours ago | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Picture the scene: you’re a stepfather madly in love with the woman of your dreams. Things are going swimmingly, until you discover that her quirky five-year-old son is actually the spawn of Satan.

That is, in a nutshell, the elevator pitch of Little Evil, Netflix’s offbeat new comedy from the mind of Eli Craig (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil). Headed up by Adam Scott (Parks & Recreation) and Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man and the Wasp), the trailer above introduces us to Gary (Scott), an Average Joe who finds himself smack bang in the middle of a Doomsday conspiracy upon realizing that his new stepson, Lucas (Owen Atlas), harbors all of the qualities of the Antichrist.

The film’s horror callbacks help drive that point home, too, as Lucas is placed face-to-face with an old analog TV (see: Poltergeist) along with the shot of him playing on a rickety old swing a la The Omen. »

Back in 1990, John Ritter had to deal with his “Problem Child,” but we’d argue his character probably wouldn’t trade places with Adam Scott. The “Party Down” and “Parks & Recreation” star will have his own hellraiser to face in the upcoming “Little Evil.”

This List of Every Superhero In Avengers: Infinity War Will Make You Infinitely Stoked

14 August 2017 2:13 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

It seems like only yesterday that Marvel Studios was getting started with a hero that was, let's face it, merely C-list at the time. After years of film and TV properties of varying degrees of quality, which saw Marvel's heroes tied up in various licensing deals with different studios, Iron Man kicked off what would become known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, a decade later, we're finally ready for Avengers: Infinity War. And it's going to be massive.

Even Iron Man director Jon Favreau publicly wondered how the grounded real world of Tony Stark could possibly co-exist with the mythological realm of Asgard, but by the time Thor, Captain America, and Hulk joined the McU with their own standalone movies, Marvel's The Avengers brought it all together and smashed box office records in the process. The mostly costume adverse McU of Netflix has kept it real with keeping it all real, »
