Cameron Gibbs is a Canadian actor working in Toronto, where he has applied his thoughtful, intelligent, and articulate acting style to several short films. Known for his intellectual approach to roles, he brings a versatile mix of humorous stoicism and stark emotion to projects.
As a graduate of Humber College Acting for Film and Television, Cameron has a professional understanding of the industry and continues to develop his skills through well-known resources such as The Second City Training Centre and acting classes.
Film and television were integral to Cameron's childhood, but acting was never part of his plan. Cameron loved to perform and entertain, yet his strengths in math and science guided him to pursue a career in medicine. He attended the University of Waterloo for Kinesiology but struggled to maintain motivation. He was momentarily lost in the world until he found a home beneath the waves as a professional scuba diving instructor.
Ten years later, after several thousand kilometers of travelling, Cameron returned home with a deeper understanding of himself and a rekindled love for the joy that performing brings.
His recent work includes a principal role in Gone Fishing Along the Okefenokee (2023) and a voice-over role in Coaching While Black (2023).
Cameron was recently cast in a short thriller, Simulacra, which is in post-production and will be released later this year.
