A former Republican state senator in Nevada -- who resigned after just a year in office -- is now posing in a bikini in Maxim in her campaign for a spot on the magazine's list of the 100 hottest women in the world.
Halseth is a write-in candidate for a spot on the list. Her new campaign comes months after her resignation from the state Senate. Halseth was elected in 2010 at the age of 27, making her the youngest woman elected to the Nevada Senate. Her resignation came in the midst of a public divorce and child custody battle and her announcement that she needed to leave the state to find a job.
The Maxim contest aims to identify the "sexiest women on the planet." It is not known how Halseth ended up in the contest, but her write-in campaign is accompinied by a professional photo of her in a bikini.

In what might be the most embarrassing confession of my career, I will admit that "America's Next Top Model" is my guilty pleasure. I've watched it since the early days of Adrianne Curry, the first-ever winner; I've seen Tyra Banks' hair morph from sleek bob to red weave to waist-length 'do; and I've witnessed the endless cycle of judges come and go. None of these changes have been particularly shocking. But when Tyra announced last week that she was firing long-time "Top Model" personalities Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and Jay Alexander, I was floored.
Aside from the contestants' shifting attitudes and characteristics from season to season, that fired triad was the meat of the show. Now gutted, whatever poses as "America's Next Top Model" will be nothing of the sort. Nigel and "The Jays" are as much a part of the identity of "Antm" as Tyra herself -- in fact, »

Last week, Zap2it asked our readers to narrow down their Reality Personality Crush in our TV's Most Crushworthy competition. This week, it's runoff time as we seek out the Ultimate TV Crush.
In a late surge, since we forgot to include them initially, "Big Brother" super couple Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder took a commanding lead in each of their respective polls. Jeff took 66.3% of the vote in his poll, leaving second place, "Dancing With the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, with just 8.9% of the vote. We're personally sad that evil Dr. Will was not amongst the finalists. But the people have spoken!
The women's side was even more of a blow-out, with Jordan earning 67.3% of the vote and second place finisher, "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood, earning just 4.3% of the vote. Interestingly, the competition for second place was quite stiff, as "Big Brother's" Janelle Pierzina and "America's Next Top Model »

Adrianne Curry's new fragrance, Erox, combines pheromones and an "attraction compound" called ER303 in a sexy scent that supposedly has been "clinically proven to increase feelings of arousal, excitement, social warmth and friendliness in both men and women."
We'll believe it when we smell it.
Word is, it smells like grapefruit, bergamot, pepper, lavender and amber.
Curry stars as a sexy cupid in the marketing campaign for the fragrance, which is described as a "geek's revenge" -- as in, science used for seduction.
"I wear Erox regularly, and I love getting immediate feedback on how people feel about the product across social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube," Curry says in a statement. "It's great to see a fun product like Erox grow in popularity."

There aren't many people who can give Lynda Carter a run for in her money in blue hot pants ... but there's no denying Miranda Kerr makes one incredibly sexy Wonder Woman! The drop dead gorgeous Aussie wears the comic character's famous shorts, bustier, bracelets and tiara in the latest issue of Grazia magazine. The invisible jet is there too ... we think. So why the getup? The magazine's fashion director says "We’re taking a risk – because Wonder Woman is a globally recognised icon and not just anyone could pull it off. But Miranda is an Australian icon herself. She’s the star who, time and time again, our readers say they most admire; a businesswoman, a wife, a mum. She is our wonder woman."Can't argue with that!Kerr is one of many sexy stars to try on the famous costume ... and may be the hottest since Lynda wore it in the late 70's. »
