Miley Cyrus masters paparazzi confusion, is a cheapskate

1 December 2009 12:04 PM, PST | ReelLoop.com | See recent Reel Loop news »

If you’re wondering about Miley Cyrus’ thoughts on fashion and why she’s averse to online shopping, boy do we have some news for you.

The 17-year-old former Disney star recently chatted with Seventeen about her eye for fashion. Here’s what she said:

What kind of fashion do you have?

“I don’t like dressing up that much, even for dressy kinds of parties and stuff. I like being more casual. I would much rather come under-dressed than overdressed.”

Do you shop online for clothes?

“I love instant access; I’m an instant gratification kind of person. That’s why I don’t shop online, »

Why is ABC giving Nicole Richie a situation comedy?

1 December 2009 12:01 PM, PST | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

Perhaps ABC has some take on The Simple Life star that I'm missing. She's cute, yes. She's not a complete airhead judging by what I've seen of her on talk shows. But, really, aren't there better actresses -- stars -- who are more viable for a new comedy series? Stars will more talent than celebrity to their credit.

Nicole Richie is living the sitcom life at ABC

1 December 2009 8:58 AM, PST | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Nicole Richie may be headed back to your television screen, this time with a script in hand.

The former star of "The Simple Life" is attached to star in a comedy pilot at ABC. She would play a woman sorting out her professional life and a set of difficult relationships with her family, Variety reports.

Richie herself describes the show this way on her own site: "The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman's role is: modern vs. traditional."

She conceived the idea for the show and will receive a producer credit on the pilot. Daisy Gardner, who's worked on "Californication" and "South Park," is writing the script, and Warren Bell ("Ellen," "According to Jim") and Jamie Tarses ("My Boys") will executive produce.

Nicole Richie to Star in ABC Comedy

1 December 2009 8:06 AM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Fact About Me #1: I used to loathe Nicole Richie.  I thought she was a total waste of space.

Fact About Me #2: Once she dumped Paris Hilton, cleaned up her act, had a couple babies and settled down I started to like her.  Ok, maybe not like - but at least respect.  She got a signature look going (boho chic), developed a jewelry line and gave her daughter a pretty cool name that wasn't too ridiculous.  So it was all good.

Fact About Me #3: I don't like it when people who don't really have much acting  talent (see: Paris, Ashlee Simpson, most reality stars) try to be actors.  I get that people want to be famous.  But I'm not an actress and I wouldn't foist myself on anyone, so why do these people keep insisting on appearing on television and in movies?

Now I'm trying to reconcile Facts #2 and #3.  Because, »
