While a certain 1936 self-help book by Dale Carnegie may have sold over 30 million copies worldwide, many people would admit that establishing new friendships as an adult is far from easy, and when filmmaker Taylor Thompson was told in no uncertain terms he needed to find more friends, rather than reaching for a battered copy of the perennially popular tome decided to make a toe-curlingly awkward film about the subject instead. People Person is a superbly funny wild ride through the most wonderfully odd characters and situations, where you’ll find yourself exploding with laughter and cringing into yourself in equal measure. After his lacking friend roster was pointed out, Thomspon wasted no time forming the film’s script from every awkward social situation he could imagine, which he further exaggerated, then paired with a brilliant cringe-inducing turn from actor Joseph Schwartz and surprisingly found himself suddenly with friends (albeit temporary) and a completed short film!

"The Voice" could be getting a kids version. According to the New York Post, NBC is working on a "Voice" spinoff that would feature contestants between the ages of 8-14.
The Post reports that NBC is looking to film the kid version the same time as the regular adult "Voice" series, but don't expect it for Season 5.
"The Voice Kids" has already been done in Germany, Holland and Finland and Telemundo will launch "La Voz Kids" with both English and Spanish-speaking contestants.
American viewers will remember Fox's "American Juniors" series, a spinoff of "American Idol" that aired for only one season during the summer of 2003. "American Juniors" started off relatively strong in the ratings, but slipped throughout the summer. Fox had planned a second season, but eventually it. "American Juniors" is not without a legacy though: "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale was one of the winners, earning one of...

Sure, the judges of " The Voice " didn't get to see who they were picking when when they chose their teams for the singing competition -- but for the viewers, there were definitely some familiar faces. While the high-profile pasts of some of the contestants hasn't been mentioned on the show, we dug up a couple videos for a few of the players you've probably seen before. - Raquel Castro : This 16-year-old singer nailed Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love " on the show and captured the attention of Christina Aguilera -- but you might remember her from the 2004 movie " Jersey Girl ," where she played Ben Affleck 's daughter. Even then Castro was showing off her voice -- check out her performance of one of the songs from " Sweeney Todd " in the movie: - Frenchie Davis : The 31-year-old also caught Christina Aguilera's attention on "The Voice" after singing Katy Perry...

Does the moppet to your left look familiar? If so, you might be one of the world’s rarest creatures — a fan of The Voice who’s also seen Kevin Smith’s 2003 flop Jersey Girl. Raquel Castro, the girl who starred in that film as the plucky daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s characters, resurfaced on the second episode of NBC’s singing sensation last night and ended up getting chosen to join Christina Aguilera’s team. As it turns out, Raquel is far from the only Voice contestant who had significant experience in show business before snagging a spot on the series.

One of my biggest fears in life is running out of food when I’m hosting a party. In the past, this overarching concern has spiraled out of control, resulting in industrial-sized batches of homemade salsa, entire refrigerator shelves devoted to housing containers of potato salad, and and grumbles from my husband about having to eat turkey burgers for a fortnight’s worth of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. But as I like to argue, at least you’ll never see one of our guests scrape the bottom of the bowl.
Unfortunately, the creators of NBC’s The Voice don’t share my particular neuroses.
