LONDON -- Nickelodeon U.K. said Thursday that it has appointed Paramount Comedy U.K. general manager David Lynn to the post of managing director, heading the group's four U.K. channels. Nick U.K.'s director of channels Howard Litton has also been promoted to general manager. Simon Guild, a member of the Nickelodeon board and deputy CEO MTV Networks Europe, made the announcements. Lynn will take immediate responsibility for all Nickelodeon's U.K. broadcast operations. At Paramount Comedy, he was responsible for securing long-term carriage deals for the recent launch of Paramount Comedy 2 on Sky, NTL and Telewest, as well as rolling out the brand to Italy on the Sky Italia platform. Litton, a nine year Nickelodeon veteran, will retain creative responsibility across the Nick U.K. family of channels, which includes Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and NickToon. »
