Candy Laird was born in 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA as Candace Newman. She was an actress, known for The Thief and the Stripper (1959) and Palm Springs Weekend (1963). She died on June 19, 1966.

Adopted daughter of TV personality Ruth Lyons.
Adopted daughter of Ruth Lyons, she was a regular on Lyon's TV show, The 50/50 Club (1949).
Candy Newman was a devoted fan of actor Troy Donahue, who was a frequent guest on her mother's Cincinnati, Ohio television show, "Ruth Lyon's The 50/50 Club (1949)". Candy was given a small role in Donahue's 1963 film, Palm Springs Weekend (1963). Most of Candy's very brief appearance was cut in the final edit. What remains is a few seconds of her (brunette girl with very short hair) sitting on a table and watching guests arrive in the main party sequence of the film.
