Rumour: Halston Sage cast as Dazzler in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

19 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

It looks like X-Men: Dark Phoenix may have found its Dazzler, with Omega Underground reporting that Halston Sage (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, The Orville) is set to play Alison Blair in the latest instalment of 20th Century Fox’s mutant superhero series.

The site reports that Sage and Suki Waterhouse (The Bad Batch) had both been tipped for the role, but that Sage was spotted in Montreal alongside Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, and Nicholas Hoult at a Hans Zimmer concert. A photo of Sage was also spotted alongside a shot of Jessica Chastain in the background of a photo posted (and since deleted) to Instagram from a member of the film’s stunt team.

News of Dazzler’s appearance in the film was first confirmed back in June, when it was also stated that there were no plans to cast Taylor Swift in the role, despite »

Piecing Together the Plot of American Horror Story: Cult

11 August 2017 4:19 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Here we are again. We're on the cusp of a new season of American Horror Story, and we hardly know anything about the madness on the horizon. Luckily, we're in better shape than we were with last year's Roanoke, which infamously didn't reveal anything ahead of its premiere date. This time around, with Cult, we're a little more in the know: we have creepy teasers, a few hints from Ryan Murphy, and even official character portraits. There's still one key factor we're missing, though: what exactly is going to happen? We're piecing together the potential plot for the latest installment. Here's what we (think we) might have uncovered so far. Meet the Mayfair-Richardses At this point, the character we have the most information about is, no surprise, the character Ryan Murphy muse Sarah Paulson plays. Prepare to meet Ally Mayfair-Richards. Paulson confirmed at the Summer TCA panel for American Horror Story »

Ryan Murphy may have teased a "love story for the ages" between Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters' characters in the upcoming American Horror Story: Cult, but his character Kai won't be the only one her Ally will be romantically linked to. As Paulson revealed to reporters during the show's panel at the 2017 Television Critics Association summer press tour, Ally will also be married to newcomer Allison Pill's character Ivy Mayfair-Richards! The scoop was revealed in rather roundabout way, as Pill vaguely referred to the occupants of the gorgeous two-story house that's one of this installment's central sets. ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ Will Focus on ‘What’s Going on in Our World’

9 August 2017 5:35 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Details are scarce about the upcoming new season of “American Horror Story,” as always.

But at a panel titled “The Women of ‘American Horror Story,'” held during the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday, a few details were revealed, including confirmation that the past presidential election will somehow play a role.

Executive producer Ryan Murphy had said back in February that the upcoming season was “going to be about the election that we just went through,” but executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall said Murphy’s announcement was more thematic. “It’s more about what’s going on in our world around us, the idea of paranoia,” she said. “It’s not what you think it is. Knowing less is so much more because it’s going to unfold for you. But it is an element in our launch point.”

The panel also featured series stars Sarah Paulson, Alison Pill, Billie Lourd »

Exclusive: Billy Eichner Talks 'Ahs: Cult' Role: 'I Get to Be Dramatic and Violent and Sexual'

8 August 2017 4:34 PM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

While Billy Eichner is best known for his comedic talents on projects like Billy on the Street, Difficult People and Parks and Recreation, the boisterous comic is changing pace a bit with his role on the upcoming season of American Horror Story, and he says fans are going to see him in a whole new light.

"I get to be dramatic and violent and sexual," the 38-year-old actor revealed when he sat down with Et's Nischelle Turner at Tavern on the Green in New York City on Tuesday. "People may not be prepared to see that side of me."

Eichner, who explained that he actually began his career as a dramatic actor, was interested in returning to it now that he's carved out a niche for himself in comedy. "I haven’t done it in a while and the public hasn’t seen [it], so I thought now is the time to do it," he shared »

X-Men: Dark Phoenix adds two new cast members, Toad and Ink may also return

8 August 2017 10:54 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

It looks like we may have two new additions to the supporting cast of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, with The Hashtag Show reporting that Kota Eberhardt (The Persian Connection) and Scott Shepherd (The Young Pope) have joined the cast of the mutant superhero sequel.

The site reports that Eberhardt has been cast as Luna, who is described as “intense and exudes a sense of power. Although she is a commanding presence, she is also slightly unhinged.” Shepherd meanwhile is set to play Dr. John Grey, the father of Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey. This follows a recent report that Summer Fontana (The Originals) has been cast as a younger Jean, presumably setting up a flashback sequence.

Meanwhile, it is claimed that Evan Jonigkeit and Gregg Lowe are also in talks to reprise their X-Men: Days of Future Past roles as Toad and Ink, with speculation suggesting they could be part of Magneto’s Acolytes. »

Evan Peters's Hollywood Evolution Proves Puberty Is a Beautiful Thing

7 August 2017 1:32 PM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Evan Peters's murderous characters on American Horror Story have made him a household name, but he didn't always play the hot psycho. In 2004, he had a pretty substantial role as a nerdy skateboarder in the romantic comedy Sleepover (if you haven't seen it, you need to add it to your list Asap), and boy, has he come a long way since then. In fact, we're pretty sure the actor has had more transformations than all seven of his Ahs characters (and counting). As you prep for the upcoming Cult season and wonder about Evan's new role, witness the beauty that is his Hollywood evolution. Evan Peters Thought Emma Roberts Was "So Weird" When They First Met

7 August 2017 11:28 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are well-known for their romance on and off the screen (they frequently costar in American Horror Story together), but it might surprise fans to know that their real-life relationship started on a completely different project. In 2012, just a year after Evan's breakout role on the first season of Ahs, the two worked together on the comedy film Adult World. While Emma was immediately smitten with her costar, Evan didn't catch the love bug until well after they finished filming. "Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn't - not for a long time after," Emma revealed on an episode of Chelsea Lately. "I actually, on the set, was like, 'Oh yeah, we're totally gonna date.' And I would, like, flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I'd be like, 'Hey, what's up?' Creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy appeared at the Television Critics Association's Winter press tour in January and gave up some small but important details - including the addition of two returning cast members! Then, in February, he shared even more exciting details regarding what's to come, including a crazy solid theme. Here's what we can expect for the next installment of American Horror Story. 1. The First Hints In an October 2016 cover story with Entertainment Weekly, Ryan Murphy slyly dropped some information on season seven. The idea apparently just came to him. The Complete Timeline of Emma Roberts and Evan Peters' Turbulent Romance

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters started dating back in 2012 after meeting on the set of their movie, Adult World, and in the short four years since then, the two have shared more drama than some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters. We're talking at least two breakups, one nasty domestic violence incident, makeups, deleting all social media traces of each other, sharing the screen on American Horror Story, and a broken engagement. While they appear to be back together now, we wouldn't be surprised if their long and complicated love story took another sharp turn soon.
