Most of the primary cast of the much anticipated Pretty Little Liars spin-off have already been announced. Liars alum, Tyler Blackburn who brings to life Caleb Rivers, will star in Ravenswood, named for the town his character moves to, which seems to be under the influence of a curse, generations deep. Now, we don't actually know for sure that these two ladies are playing witches, but we sure hope so. They would make excellent dark arts practitioners, we think.
The two award-winning actresses join the previously-announced new faces Kathy Bates and Gabourey Sidibe, plus returning actors as returning cast members Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange. We also know the witchy season will be filming, at least in part, in New Orleans.
"American Horror Story: Coven" will premiere in October on FX.
Written by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater, the story centers on a research team that discovers a way to resurrect the dead. When the lead doctor’s daughter dies, she is given the serum, which leads to horrifying results. [Source: Heat Vision]
Angus MacFadyen, Wes Studi and Adam Beach are set to star in the ensemble action-thriller "Terra Infirma". Chris Cain will direct the film which begins shooting this summer in New Mexico, Kauai and China.

The spinoff takes place in Ravenswood, near Liars‘ hometown of Rosewood, Pa, and revolves around five strangers who are connected by the curse that has plagued Ravenswood for generations. Oldford is with Gersh. Angela Bassett and Patti LuPone have joined the cast of FX’s American Horror Story: Coven. The two join Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Francis Conroy, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Gabourney Sidibe. The cast of American Horror Story: Coven continues to impress with the announcement of two more actresses that will appear in the upcoming season. Ryan Murphy took to Twitter earlier today to announce that Angela Bassett and Patti LuPone are the latest additions to the cast. Like usual, he did not provide details on the characters they will be playing.
We recently reported that Precious star Gabourey Sidibe will be joining the cast, along with Kathy Bates, who will be a major part of the third season. A number of actors from past seasons will return to play new characters, including Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters. The cast is still coming together, so we’re definitely expecting a few more of the past actors to make an appearance.
