What does American Horror Story have in common with Ravenswood, the pending ABC Family Pretty Little Liars spin-off? Well, both shows tend to deal with mystery, but first and foremost is pretty little actress, Britne Oldford, who is in the news today for joining the Ravenswood cast.
A Canadian actress, Oldford played Cadie Campbell in Skins and Alma Walker in a handful of American Horror Story: Asylum episodes. She was Kit Walker’s wife, Kit having been portrayed by Evan Peters.
Most of the primary cast of the much anticipated Pretty Little Liars spin-off have already been announced. Liars alum, Tyler Blackburn who brings to life Caleb Rivers, will star in Ravenswood, named for the town his character moves to, which seems to be under the influence of a curse, generations deep. Blackburn is one of the stars of the forthcoming series, but the actress most recently announced as joining »

The coven of witches for "American Horror Story's" third season keeps adding some big names -- the latest of which are Angela Bassett and Patti LuPone, announced creator Ryan Murphy on Twitter.
"Two legends are joining the cast of American Horror Story: Coven -- Oscar nominee Angela Bassett and Tony winner Patti LuPone!," Murphy tweets.
Now, we don't actually know for sure that these two ladies are playing witches, but we sure hope so. They would make excellent dark arts practitioners, we think.
The two award-winning actresses join the previously-announced new faces Kathy Bates and Gabourey Sidibe, plus returning actors as returning cast members Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange. We also know the witchy season will be filming, at least in part, in New Orleans.
"American Horror Story: Coven" will premiere in October on FX.

Like usual, he did not provide details on the characters they will be playing.
We recently reported that Precious star Gabourey Sidibe will be joining the cast, along with Kathy Bates, who will be a major part of the third season. A number of actors from past seasons will return to play new characters, including Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters.
