- Eric was born on Christmas day.
- Eric's grandmother was a lifelong loyal fan of her "story", soap-opera "Days of Our Lives". When he was working at an LA restaurant and was telling a diner about his granny and her favorite "story", Eric mentioned that he wanted to act on his granny's favorite show. Eric was shocked when the patron helped him get an audition, and Eric was ecstatic to be cast for an "Under 5" role. His grandmother was able to see Eric on her "story" before she passed away.
- In 2004, Eric Dean Turic co-founded with partner Thomas Newsom a modern home furnishings store, DAVINCI in Los Angeles which offers custom furniture, unique accessories, and design services.
- Eric was part of the 4-H Oklahoma Artistic Youth (OKAY). When in 7th grade, he traveled with OKAY throughout Oklahoma doing a musical that told the history of Oklahoma.
- He graduated from University of Tulsa with a major in psychology and a minor in anthropology.
- Eric began studying with acting coach Merilyn Carney in 2001, and continues to do so today.
- Eric was a volunteer archaeologist for a summer in Israel excavating King Herrod's Harbor in Caesarea. As a member of the American excavation team, he was the first to enter the vaults outside the Citadel and found the first body from the Crusader period.
