Along with Zack Ward has begun a movie production company called Makeshift Productions, which will release their first feature film; a horror movie tentatively titled Zombies Ate My Mom, in 2005.

Since leaving Evanescence, the band which he formed in high school with Amy Lee, he has composed and produced music for Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson

He is preparing to enter the studio to record his own solo album. No name is set yet, but Ben intends to do all of the composing himself, play all of the instruments at the recording studio, and sing vocals too. It is scheduled to be released in early Summer 2005 - the same time we are told that the new Evanescence album will be released.

Plays an ESP F-400FM Ltd guitar.

Co-wrote the following tracks on Evanescence's multi-platinum album, Fallen: "My Immortal", "Imaginary", "Haunted", "Taking Over Me", "Going Under".

Originally aspired to be a drummer. Switched to guitar because of wrist pains/ carpal tunnel.

Though he is a guitarist, he has not had any type of training or lessons pertaining to guitar. He has been trained in piano.

When in Evanescence, he dedicated his work on the album "Fallen" to his grandfather.

Credits Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson for giving him the confidence to begin his solo endeavors.


Where Are They Now

(December 2004) He is preparing to enter the studio to start recording his solo CD. In the studio he will play all of the instuments and also sing vocals.

(November 2003) Left Evanescence in mid-tour in Germany. He walked out in the middle of the night and flew home.

(January 2005) Has been confirmed as a guitar player on Jason Miller's "Forever in Our Hearts", a song written for Tsunami Relief. Other artists contributing to this project include Mya, Brian McKnight, Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Jason and Mike Miller of Godhead, and many more. A release date is yet to be confirmed.

(June 2005) Has released a new song and video called "Everything Burns" featuring Anastacia. The song is also featured on the Fantastic Four (2005) soundtrack.
