- On Thursday, May 20, 2004 he made a game winning shot against the Spurs with .4 seconds left on the game clock durring the NBA Playoffs. This was after Tim Duncan made a jumper for the Spurs that left .4 seconds on the clock. After a series of timeouts by both teams Gary Payton made the assist to Fisher and he made the "miracle shot". After Fisher made the basket, all the Lakers ran off the court just in case the refs reversed their decision!
- After he made the game winning shot in game 5 of the 2004 NBA Playoffs against the San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Lakers went on to win game 6 of the playoffs, thus eliminating the Spurs from the playoffs and ending the teams quest for back-to-back title wins.
