- Originally from Littleneck, New York, Vincent LoRusso attended Michigan State
University and New York University.
Vincent met actors Carl Tarcangeli and Sergio Cacciotti at the Lee
Strasberg Theater Institute in 1994. In August 1996, they decided to
start their own company and began scouring midtown for a gritty,
affordable space to host experimental theater. They eventually invested
in the renovation of Triple Treat Theatre/Show World, a former strip
club at Eighth Ave. and 42nd St. in New York City. It was here that
Vincent and his partners co-founded Pantheon Productions, their
fledgling Off-Off-Broadway theater company offering "wild, electric,
high-energy theater." Pantheon's first show was Jeffrey Sweet's
"Responsible Parties." During the rest of 1998-99 season, the company
made its mark with a series of short-run dramas, farces and dark
comedies.
LoRusso's theater credits include Dreamtime on Broadway, the lead
in Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, the lead in Eat Your Heart Out, and
others. He has appeared in the films It Could Happen to You, Brian
Daly's The Whitehouse, Steve Feder's The Cotton Wood, as well as
several NYU student films, including the lead role in Adam Reese's 1994
short film "Company Policy". On television he was the lead on UNet
Cable's "The Show" (A Michigan State University Telecasters
production), and appeared on "New York News". Vincent played the lead
in Docs and Robbers, which premiered in 2005 at the Dances With Films
festival.
Vincent is also a member of the nonprofit organization PROACTIVE
