Dan grew up in Frederick, Maryland.

He received his B.A. in Theatre Art & Communication from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in Westminster, MD.

Dan has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 2003. In addition to roles on HBO's "Veep" and "The Wire," he's appeared in theatre (including Baltimore's Mechanic Theatre's production of "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding"), commercials, and several web series (including playing Indie in the MAC/PC parody series "Indie vs. Studio", and in the series "ParaAbnormal" from the creators of the 'Blair Witch Project' and 'Lovely Molly').

In 2013, Dan appeared as former teen detective Frank Hardy in the short film, "Cordially Invited," which took the top prize in the 2013 Baltimore 48 Hour Film Project.

He recently completed work on the promotional trailer for the vampire film "The Night Watchmen," and on the web series "Click."

In addition, Dan is involved as an instructor at Studio Boh's "Actor's Club" in Baltimore.
