Afm 2011: First Details and Sales Art - Living Dark: The Story of Ted the Caver

31 October 2011 12:17 PM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Grief can make you do all sorts of stupid things. As a matter of fact, during the grieving process you shouldn't be doing anything other than giving yourself a chance to heal. But hey! This is the world of horror movies, man! You just lost your dad? Why not go spelunking?!?

Below you'll find the first details and art for Living Dark: The Story of Ted the Caver which is being sold at Afm this week. Directed by David Hunt, the flick stars Chris Cleveland, Matthew Alan, Circus Szalewski, and Mark Hayter.

Synopsis

Based on the popular "Ted the Caver" Internet urban legend, The Living Dark tells the story of two estranged brothers, reunited for their father's funeral. Attempting reconciliation, the brothers stumble upon the sealed entrance to a nearby cave, where they are slowly forced to confront the true, nightmarish cause of their father's death.

NCIS Tries to Read The Penelope Papers

NCIS Tries to Read The Penelope Papers

Paul Booth (Matthew Alan), math professor at Waverly University and lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserves, is shot dead after setting up a meeting about which he had lied to his pregnant wife. McGee’s business card from 2003 is found on Booth’s person, but McGee has no memory of the man. NCIS traced Booth’s last cell phone call to Penelope Langston (Lily Tomlin), a retired teacher and, incidentally, McGee’s grandmother.

In my opinion, one way TV series show their age is to delve into the characters’ personal lives, usually employing guest stars to play family members. The implication is there are no fresh cases to work on, so family members are brought in to make things just that much more interesting/uncomfortable. We’ve seen it with Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, and last night was McGee’s turn.
