Batman's Penguin star Danny DeVito wows fans as McM London Comic Con sees record visitors

Hollywood legend Danny DeVito was a smash hit at last weekend's McM London Comic Con, where he hosted a preview of his upcoming animated comedy The Lorax and signed free autographs for hundreds of lucky fans.

Known to superhero fans for his role as the villainous Penguin in 1992's Batman Returns, DeVito was among a host of special guests at the event, which attracted a record 64,000 visitors across the long weekend with a massive 37,000 people coming through the doors on Saturday alone.

Canadian Drama Arctic Air Gets a Second Season

Arctic Air is coming back for a second season.

The Canadian adventure-drama series Arctic Air has been renewed for a second season. The show, which airs on CBC, is centered on a Yellowknife-based maverick airline.

The first season of Arctic Air was watched by the largest audience for a new CBC drama series in 15 years. According to a press release, it premiered to more than 1.2 million viewers in January and then drew an average audience of 965,000 viewers each week.

Over the course of the first season almost 7.3 million viewers tuned in to some part of the program, according to the CBC. That is about 22% of the population or about 1 in 5 Canadians.

Big congrats to all the Leo nominees this year!

The nominations were announced earlier today. Sanctuary, Arctic Air, Endgame and Blackstone are up for Best Dramatic Series and all five films nominated for Best Feature Length Drama have familiar faces in them: Daydream Nation (Luke Camilleri, Calum Worthy, Genevieve Buechner), Doppelgänger Paul (Ben Cotton), Marilyn (Ryan Robbins), Sisters & Brothers (Kacey Rohl, Michael Eklund, Ben Cotton), and The Odds (Calum Worthy).

Sisters & Brothers nabbed 12 nominations, Hamlet (with Peter Wingfield) and Marilyn have eight each, Sunflower Hour (with Kacey Rohl and Ben Cotton) has seven, Donovan's Echo (with Hiro Kanagawa) has six, Daydream Nation and Doppelgänger Paul five each, The Odds has four, and Everything and Everyone (with Ryan Robbins) and Hannah's Law (with Ryan Kennedy and John Pyper-Ferguson, to be aired in June) scored two each.

Arctic Air premieres at 9 pm on CBC tonight. A bunch of Caprica and BSG actors are either regulars or recurring guest stars: Carmen Moore, Michael Hogan, Leah Gibson, Kandyse McClure, Brian Markinson and Aleks Paunovic. There might be more of them as the season progresses.
