Adam Bertocci was born on August 18th, 1982 to Danielle and Rick Bertocci in New York City. He began attending the Bronxville Public School system in Kindergarten, where he first met Guy in his Basement co-founder Kent Sanderson. By the time he graduated in 2001, he and the "GIHB" crew had shot a short - "Young Jedi: High School Student" and a short feature - "The Cellar Dwellers", both of which Adam wrote. He graduated Northwestern University's Television/Film department in 2005.
