Brian is a veteran actor as well a Singer/Songwriter with over 2,000 songs in his musical catalog. He has... and can portray everything from extremely emotional characters who leave the audience emotionally wrecked... to characters with such comedic timing that only a natural can deliver without warning to the audience.
Brian Hedges was born in Enid, Oklahoma...and spent his childhood on the family farm located between Enid and Fairmont, Oklahoma. As a singer...He is known for his soulful, bluesy, country sound. He started writing music in the 1970's. Brian Hedges is True Americana.
Brian Hedges was influenced by the Tulsa Sound and those musicians that played the bars and clubs who developed what would become the Red Dirt Music Scene out of Stillwater, OK. He started to play guitar at the age of twelve, did his own songwriting and publishing at thirteen, and began touring at fifteen. Brian Hedges toured the Oklahoma/Texas/Kansas/Arkansas/Missouri show circuit for several years.
He began acting young and was cast in early Oklahoma film productions like Dillinger, The Outsiders, Gettysburg, The Green Mile, and the Last Castle.
In Brian's work at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum he contributed to the writing and publication of four books on the history of country music...and produced seven recorded music projects which garnered five Grammy Awards.
Brian has twenty-eight album credits to date. He is the winner of a variety of songwriting awards...Three World Songwriting Awards and Three International Singer Songwriting Awards. Brian currently has his own film and music production companies based in Knoxville, TN where he lives with his beautiful wife, Debbie...in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Brian is an independent singer/songwriter/publisher/producer/and record label head in the music industry. He has experience in artist management, development, public relations, and he managed the publicity for a variety of clients and major companies.
