Ryan Simpkins is no stranger when it comes to making movies. It has been an up & onward journey for this remarkable 13 year old as she brings a strong, playful, and passionate performance to every project she does.
Starting out at 4 years old Ryan booked her first film, for Hallmarks Hall of Fame, Fallen Angel (with Gary Sinise). She has continued to build her resume & character ever since, working with many A-list directors & actors over the years. Such as in the critically acclaimed film, SherryBaby, starring opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal; At 7 years old, Ryan began performing double time as she debuted on Broadway, in Festen (Julianna Margulies), and began production on the film Pride and Glory in which she and her real life brother, actor Ty Simpkins played the children of Colin Farrell; Moving to California with her family in 2006, Ryan booked starring roles in Gardens of the Night; The Gary Houseman Story; Next, Ryan holds her own in Surveillance where Ryan scored a Best-Actress award at the NYC Film Festival and achieved status as the first child to have won this award; Leading her to her next role in Revolutionary Road, directed by Academy Award winner, Sam Mendes playing the child of Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio; Fashion designer and debut director Tom Ford fell in love with Ryan for the role of Jennifer as he crafted A Single Man. Ryan has guest-starred on Law&Order: SVU, Wondershowzin, CSI, and has been seen on several national commercials and print cover ads over the years.
Born on the East Coast, March 25th, 1998, Ryan is the middle child of 3. She loves participating in fencing, soccer, surfing, & Imrov. She is an avid reader & enjoys writing & adapting books for fun. In 2010 Ryan wrote, produced and directed a short called Sitter Street. Ryan hopes to write and direct more in her future.

Loves all animals and has 8 pets which she shares with her brother Ty.
Ryan was named after Nolan Ryan -- the baseball player by her father. Ryan's brother Ty was named after Ty Cobb a baseball player, also by their father.
Had her hair dyed red for Pride and Glory (2008) to match Lake Bell's hair -- also dyed red.
Adopted a Papillon mix in 2007 in LA and named him, "Rufus" after the director of the Broadway show Festen; Rufus Norris.
Performed as a "Duck" her school play's version of Peter Pan.
Ryan lost 4 teeth on the set of Sherrybaby.
At the age of 7 performed on Broadway, NYC.
Is a bat-boy (girl) for the Broadway Show League softball teams (2006) (2007), Music Box Theater.
Originally booked Mirrors (2007) starring Kiefer Sutherland, as his daughter, however, after Ryan was cast (as Daisy), directors/producers decided to cast Paula Patton as the mother. Hence, she was then UN-cast.
March 2008: Worked alongside her brother, Ty, in CSI episode, "A Thousand Days On Earth" (Air - April 10th, 2008).
October 2008: Ryan attended the 15th Annual Aids Dream Halloween event in LA dressed as Harpo Marx; With her friend Jonathan Morgan Heit.
At 11 years old, Ryan Simpkins (2009) wrote, directed and produced a pilot called "Sitters Street", a story about 5 teen girls who become friends after interviewing for the same horrifying yet comedic babysitting job. Ryan got working professionals in the industry to donate equipment, time, and money.
Lives in Hollywood, California.
Adopted a puppy in Pittsburgh, PA in 2009 and named her "Chapin" after her favorite character in Triple Dog (2009) (played by 'Brittany Robertson'.)
Was a personal guest of Russell Crowe at his star ceremony in Hollywood, Ca (April 2010).
Is a NHL Pittsburgh Penguins fan and friends with Max Talbot (Centre/right wing for the Penguins).
Plays the Viola.
Loves the Hunger Games series and was given an autographed copy of The Mocking Jay by Jack Dalgleish ... executive producer of Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life (2011) because he knew how excited Ryan was to read it.
