New ‘The Sitter’ Jonah Hill Movie Delivered Outrageous Comedy,Drama & More

New 'The Sitter' Jonah Hill movie delivered outrageous comedy, drama & more. 20th Century Fox Recently released their new Jonah Hill, branded, comedy flick "The Sitter." I just checked it out today, and thought it was funny as hell. Jonah Hill always cracks me up. The movie served up a lot of laughs. There was one scene,I'll mention later, that was really very shocking. It stars: Jonah Hill, Sam Rockwell, Max Records, Kevin Hernandez, Landry Bender, J.B. Smoove, and Method Man. In the flick, character Noah Griffith (Jonah Hill) hasn't really done much with his life, and is currently trying to date a girl who really isn't interested in him,but certainly doesn't mind stringing him along. He finally ends up doing something for someone else other than himself when his mother asks him to babysit one of her friend's kids so she can go out on a date, »

Film Review: Matt Damon Closes Deal in ‘We Bought a Zoo’

22 December 2011 8:19 AM, PST | HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news »

Chicago – Cameron Crowe’s “We Bought a Zoo” is an undeniably manipulative crowd-pleaser but there’s something about being manipulated in such an expert manner that makes the tugging on the heartstrings easier to take. We know what we’re in for when we buy a ticket for a movie about children grieving the loss of their mother, endangered animals, and the healing process through talking to tigers. Most movie goers are smart enough not to expect a deep dose of subtlety.

Rating: 3.5/5.0

So it comes down to how expertly the confection is produced. Is it too sweet? “We Bought a Zoo” borders on being a great Christmas treat, only held back a bit by a ridiculous running time, a stereotypical adolescent character, and a few too many tugs to make the final ones as resonant as they could have been. Still, you won’t find a more well-made or »

Matt Damon Buys Zoo in 6 'We Bought a Zoo' Clips

21 December 2011 1:00 PM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

"We Bought A Zoo" is the kind of title movie executives dream of, because it's funny, it's a plot summary, and it's an actual line in the movie. Forget 30-second TV ads -- the title (and Matt Damon's name) basically sell the film.

Good thing, too, because after a six-year post-"Elizabethtown" hiatus, writer-director Cameron Crowe could use a surefire hit. The man who gave us "Jerry Maguire" and "Almost Famous" can certainly navigate audiences through the tearjerking dramedy of a recently widowed man who takes his two children on the adventure of becoming animal caretakers, all while ogling Scarlett Johansson. He's got the heart of a lion, he does.

1. It’s a Zoo. J.B. Smoove breaks the news, well, smoovely.

2. Give Me Some Fork. For those who had trouble remembering the title of this film, it is reiterated here for your convenience.

3. Modern Day Adventurers. Even the monkey »

15 December 2011 7:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

We got the brilliant first trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator yesterday, which immediately set up the controversy by opening the trailer with footage of a speech from Obama, and promised that fans of his earlier films can sleep safe in the assurance that this is going to be a lot of fun too.

Following on from that, we’ve now got the film’s first poster to share with you, via Imp Awards, in which Baron Cohen has posed for his immortalising portrait, whilst still wearing his green sunglasses. Brilliant.

The film reunites the leading man with Larry Charles, the director of Borat and Brüno, with a script coming from Baron Cohen and former Seinfeld writers Alec Berg, David Mandel, and Jeff Schaffer, all of whom have since been writing Curb Your Enthusiasm, for which Charles is executive producer and frequent director.

The Dictator‘s plot synopsis: “The heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

Pretty funny movie trailer and seeing Megan Fox was a big surprise. The scene she and Sacha Baron Cohen are in is hilarious. Very funny moments in this trailer. I hope the film is as good. This film is timely or in bad taste with the death of so many dictators around the world in the recent years.

The Dictator also stars Kevin Corrigan, J.B. Smoove, Jim Piddock, Aasif Mandvi, Danielle Burgio, Ross Ryman, Fred Melamed, and Niyi Oni.

acha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator Trailer Has Megan Fox Prostitution, 9/11 and AIDS Jokes

14 December 2011 8:59 AM, PST | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

Sacha Baron Cohen, the tall, lanky dork who gave us “Borat” and “Ali G”, returns with a Middle Eastern-type-ish Dictator who oppresses his people, buys sexual favors from Megan Fox (played by Megan Fox, as Megan Fox — meta!), and thinks America being the “birth place of AIDS” is a great achievement. I think I’m supposed to be offended by all of this, but if this is the highlights of Cohen’s “The Dictator”, I gotta say, color me disappointed. But hey, it’s just the first trailer, so we might get more rough stuff later on. (That’s what Megan Fox said! Ahem.) Starring Sacha Baron Cohen, Anna Faris, John C. Reilly, Ben Kingsley, B.J. Novak, Kevin Corrigan, Megan Fox and J.B. Smoove. The film, about “the heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly »

Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator Trailer

14 December 2011 7:26 AM, PST | FilmJunk | See recent FilmJunk news »

It's turning into a pretty big week for new trailers apparently, and today we have our first look at Sacha Baron Cohen's latest comedy The Dictator. After branching out a bit with his recent role in Hugo, this project finds him reteaming with director Larry Charles and returning to Borat and Bruno territory as an outsider trying to navigate his way through America. This time around, however, it is a more of a traditional comedy without the real world pranks and faux documentary aesthetic. Sacha Baron Cohen plays a fictional North African dictator named General Aladeen, who rules over the Republic of Wadiya with an iron fist. The quick plot synopsis is that he travels to the United States and hilarity ensues. It feels a bit like Chris Morris' controversial comedy Four Lions in that it seems to be poking fun at religious extremism and terrorism, and I »

‘The Dictator’ Trailer – Sacha Baron Cohen Takes Over America

14 December 2011 7:00 AM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

He was seen in Hugo and he’ll take part in Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, but in between Sacha Baron Cohen will get back to his wackier comedy antics with The Dictator. Directed by Borat and Bruno helmer Larry Charles, this new film loses the mockumentary style for the story of a “a Hussein-like dictator who gets secretly replaced by a lookalike goat herder and now must find new meaning in a life in New York City.”

Written by Alec BergJeff Schaffer, and David Mandel, it’s loosely based on Saddam Hussein‘s novel Zabibah and the King and also stars Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly and J.B. Smoove. I thought both Borat and Bruno were both hilarious and I love Cohen, because even if it fails, he is stil pushing the envelope whether it be Reilly’s 9/11 joke or Fox portraying a prostitue. »

First Trailer for The Dictator Starring Sacha Baron Cohen [Updated with Poster]

14 December 2011 6:52 AM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Paramount has released the first trailer for the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy The Dictator.  Cohen stars as a despot who “risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”  The trailer has a lot of great jokes.  Cohen is like Mike Myers if Myers was still funny, relevant, had smarter comedy, and--most importantly--was willing to offend the shit out of people.  This trailer doesn't pull any punches and I love that it's a green band that will play to families across America this holiday season. Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  The film also stars Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, J.B. Smoove, and John C. ReillyThe Dictator opens May 11, 2012. ‘The Dictator’ Trailer: Sacha Baron Cohen as Equal Parts Muammar Gaddafi and Ali G

14 December 2011 6:31 AM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for The Dictator, in which Sacha Baron Cohen plays a ruthless Middle Eastern dictator, something along the lines of Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi, who is sent to America in exile and must live among the infidels. It’s what one might call a brave move, if this weren’t another Sacha Baron Cohen and Larry Charles joint. It’s safe to assume that Cohen is trying to create this modern generation’s version of Chaplin’s The Great Dictator, but with far more hairy Kardashians jokes. Watch the trailer for yourself below and let us know what you think: The Dictator is due out May 11, 2012. The film will also star Megan Fox, Anna Faris, John C. Reilly, Ben Kingsley, B.J. Novak and J.B. Smoove. The trailer is courtesy of The Huffington Post. »
