The hilarious new comedy Pitch Perfect, from director Jason Moore (Broadway’s Avenue Q) and screenwriter Kay Cannon (New Girl, 30 Rock), tells the story of Beca (Anna Kendrick), a young woman who dreams of being a music producer, but who instead finds herself at Barden University in an all-female a cappella singing group. With both new takes on old favorites and hits of right now, The Bellas fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college music competitions. The film also stars Rebel Wilson, Skylar Astin, Adam Devine, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks. At the film’s press junket, screenwriter Kay Cannon talked about how she came to write this film, how she developed the group of very unique characters, the inspiration for the girl power of the story, how they determined which songs would be selected, not being able »

Question: Will Jennifer Morrison be returning for the House series finale? —Abby
Ausiello: If she is, producers better reach out to her fast. “I have not been contacted at all,” Morrison told TVLine at Sunday’s Once Upon a Time panel at PaleyFest 2012. “At this point, it’s too far into the season for them to decide to do that.” (The swan song goes into production in early April.) Katrina Bowden, the 23-year-old who plays the pretty (and pretty ditzy) assistant on NBC's "30 Rock," is engaged to boyfriend Ben Jorgensen, lead singer and guitarist of the New Jersey-based band Armor for Sleep.
We found out when Bowden hit the red carpet for Sunday's (Jan. 29) SAG Awards. E!'s Giuliana Rancic asked Bowden the perennial red carpet question, "Who are you wearing?"
"Amsali dress," she answered, "Stuart Weitzman shoes and my new engagement ring."
Apparently Jorgensen had popped the question just the day before at the couple's posh suite at the Beverly Hills Four Season. The groom picked the ring out all by himself. Awwww.
"30 Rock" co-star Keith Powell, who was also standing by for the interview, when asked what he was going to do to top the engagement news, said, "I'm going to propose to you, too." »
The 4,750 some-odd members of the Producers Guild of America celebrated their 23rd Annual Producers Guild of America Awards over the weekend, and for the first time in the Guild’s 60+ year history, those members bestowed honors upon a web series. The only online only category in the ceremony - with nominees consisting of both original web series and companion and/or derivative programming of television properties - was one of four new categories the PGA added to its awards ceremony this year (the others were Sports Programs, News Programs, and Children’s Programs). And for its inaugural entry into the genre of online video, PGA members selected what those familiar with the industry will see as more or less obvious and/or predictable nominees.
