Back in late February, Jurassic World 2 started production, and since then, we've only seen a few sneak peeks from the set thus far. There have been set photos that have teased the production is using old-school animatronic dinosaurs for this sequel, and today we have a new look at a few of these dinosaur puppets. These images confirm that two familiar dinosaurs, the Apatosaurus and the Dilophosaurus will be featured in this action-packed adventure. We even have a humorous image from the set courtesy of star Bryce Dallas Howard.
These images all surfaced on Twitter today from the Hawley U.K. set, with these photos taken outside one of the production buildings, where we can see the Apatosaurus and the Dilophosaurus housed inside. The massive Apatosaurus was featured in a pivotal and heartfelt scene in Jurassic World, where it is laying on the ground near death, after being attacked by the carnivorous Indominus Rex. »
With production starting sometime this month on Universal's highly-anticipated sequel Jurassic World 2, the cast is filling up quickly, with another actor signing on. Ted Levine has signed on to star as an unspecified character in this highly-anticipated sequel, which Universal Pictures will release on June 22, 2018. It isn't clear how many more roles will need to be filled out before production starts next month in the U.K. and Hawaii.
Variety broke the news on this casting, with Ted Levine joining new cast members such as Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Justice Smith and Daniel Pineda, who signed on last month. No details about any of these new characters were revealed, but they will join original Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Jurassic World 2 is getting very near production and now that director J.A. Bayona is free of his promotional duties for A Monster Calls, he can pour all of his focus into the highly-anticipated sequel. As production nears, more of the puzzle is falling into place. Today, we've learned who one of the new cast members will be. Actress Daniella Pineda, who is probably best known for her work on the TBS comedy The Detour, has reportedly been cast as one of the new leads in this follow-up to the 2015 blockbuster.
Variety broke the news that Daniella Pineda has joined the growing cast for Jurassic World 2, but unfortunately, there wasn't any word on who she is playing or what exactly her role will be.
