Black Widow & Captain America Fight In Animatic From Deleted Scene In ‘Captain America: Civil War’

When I sat down and talked with “Captain America: Civil War” screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus last month, my wide-ranging conversation with them made it very clear that while they had a massive canvas to play with in penning the blockbuster, each move was carefully considered. The duo put an importance on making sure each story beat […]

It's Thanos Vs. Everybody in Infinity War Say Josh Brolin

9 June 2016 1:37 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

This coming November will be quite a big month for Marvel Studios, for two important reasons. First of all, their second Phase 3 movie Doctor Strange will debut on November 4, and second, at some point during that month, filming will begin simultaneously on both Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War - Part II. There still isn't much we know about the story at this point, but we do know that the main villain will be Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. During a recent interview, the actor shed some light about getting prepared to play the Mad Titan.

We got our first brief glimpse of Thanos during the post credit scene of 2012's The Avengers, but he made his first full-fledged appearance in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. This powerful villain also showed up in the post credit scene of Avengers: Age of Ultron, wielding the Infinity Gauntlet as »

Josh Brolin Aiming To Find The “Humanity” In Thanos Ahead Of Avengers: Infinity War

9 June 2016 9:26 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

First teased at the tail-end of Joss Whedon’s Avengers movie four years ago, Josh Brolin’s Thanos has spent much of his time in the McU on the sidelines, comfortably perched on his levitating throne as he concocts his grand masterplan. So far, so predictable.

But with Avengers: Infinity War looming large on the horizon – Joe and Anthony Russo’s two-part event movie – Brolin’s Mad Titan is set to enjoy much more screentime, which will surely portend all kinds of trouble for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, who still need to hug and make up following their internal squabble in Civil War.

More News From The Web

When quizzed about Infinity War and, in particular, his preparation for this increased presence, Brolin noted that he’s aiming to find the “humanity” in Marvel’s galactic menace. After showering praise on Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely’s seemingly mind-blowing script, »

Infinity War Gets Avengers Composer Alan Silvestri

7 June 2016 6:07 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Later this year, Marvel will start production on Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War Part II, with both movies shooting back to back over a massive shoot that is expected to last over nine months. While we know this superhero adventure will feature practically every established character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, another key piece of the production team has been revealed. Composer Alan Silvestri recently confirmed that he has come aboard to provide the score for both Infinity War movies.

The news, courtesy of AlanSilvestri.com, shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, since Alan Silvestri provided the score for 2012's Marvel blockbuster The Avengers, which still stands as the studio's highest-grossing movie with $623.3 million domestic and $1.5 billion worldwide. The composer hasn't returned to the McU since then, but he has been keeping plenty busy, composing scores for Flight, Red 2, The Croods, the TV series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssesy, »

Infinity War: Part 1 Gets Retitled Avengers 3?

4 June 2016 11:39 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Way back in October 2014, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige held a special half-hour presentation in Hollywood, where he unveiled all of the movies that will be featured in Marvel's Phase Three lineup. There have been plenty of changes to this slate since then, including the additions of Ant-Man and the Wasp and Spider-Man: Homecoming, while the final movie, Inhumans has been pulled from the schedule. It was revealed at that event that Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War Part II will hit theaters in May 2018 and 2019, but now it seems that those titles may have changed.

Buried within Deadline's report about Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson emerging as the front-runner for Captain Marvel is news that Marvel has changed Avengers: Infinity War Part I to the more simple Avengers 3. The report claims that Marvel plans on introducing the Carol Danvers character in one of their upcoming movies, such »

Captain America: Civil War Writers Reflect On How McU Has Evolved Since Phase One

Long before Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus helped turn Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against one another, the screenwriting duo helped carve out an origins story for Marvel’s First Avenger in 2011’s Captain America.

At the time, the cinematic juggernaut now known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe was still in an embryonic state, and during a recent interview regarding Captain America: Civil War, both McFeely and Markus spoke to Cinema Blend about the ways in which the McU has evolved in that half-decade.

First up, McFeely zeroed in on Marvel’s confidence, and how that has grown exponentially soon after the Avengers broke box office records left, right, and center back in 2012.

When we first started, they were maybe a more nervous studio. Any movie that bombed would really destroy them, so there were a lot of hands on deck on that first Captain America movie. »

How Marvel Has Changed Since Phase One, According To The Civil War Writers

29 May 2016 3:51 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Marvel Studios has come a long way in the last eight years. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the biggest franchise in Hollywood, back in 2008 the industry didn.t know exactly what audiences would make of Iron Man, and the company basically threw a series of consecutive Hail Mary plays that worked out. In the early days, every move made could sink the ship, but success has dissipated that stress and led to a much more hands-off for creatives . what writer/producer Stephen McFeely considers to be the biggest change behind the scenes at Marvel since Phase One. Writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have been working with Marvel Studios since the early days, writing the screenplay for Joe Johnston.s Captain America: The First Avenger, so when interviewing them recently over the phone I took the opportunity to ask them about how the experience working on Captain America »
