The Cabin in the Woods Trailer. Drew Goddard‘s The Cabin in the Woods (2012) movie trailer stars Chris HemsworthJesse WilliamsKristen ConnollyAnna Hutchison, and Fran KranzThe Cabin in the Woods‘ plot synopsis: “A group of five friends going on a quiet cabin retreat scratch the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom what might possibly be going on just as time quickly runs out.”

This looks very interesting but they gave up some big surprises, big surprises. All the tech aspects should have been left out in my opinion.

More on The Cabin in the Woods‘s history:

For a few years now, there has been no small amount of mystery surrounding The Cabin in the Woods, the horror film directed by Cloverfield screenwriter Drew Goddard and co-written by Goddard and Joss Whedon. At one point you could find a »

Donovan’S Echo (2011) Movie Trailer: Jim Cliffe, Danny Glover

Donovan’s Echo Trailer. Jim Cliffe‘s Donovan’s Echo (2011) movie stars Danny Glover, Bruce Greenwood, Chelah Horsdal, Sonja Bennett, and Natasha Calis. Donovan’s Echo‘s plot synopsis: “Once a brilliant mathematician, Donovan Matheson (Danny Glover) has been an outcast since an accident that killed his wife and daughter three decades ago for which he blames himself. He finally returns home as the tragic event’s 30th anniversary approaches and begins discovering similarities to what had happened to him in the past. Convinced history is repeating itself, Donovan risks everything to save an unsuspecting family from the same tragic fate.”

Great premise but the execution may be a little dubious. It’s strength is the storyline and that it may remind the viewer of Rubicon and Proof because Danny Glover’s character is a mathematician and there is a visible mystery.

Donovan’s Echo also stars David Lewis, Hiro Kanagawa, »

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movie Trailer 3 has premiered. Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) movie trailer 3 stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, and Brian Cox. Rise of the Planet of the Apes‘ plot synopsis: “An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”

For this movie trailer, 20th Century Fox said: “To hell with it. Let’s give it all away and get a big turn out for the first weekend.” From the synopsis, I would would say most if not all of the story arch is in this movie trailer. It is entertaining but why show/tell the viewer everything in two minutes? Aren’t trailers supposed to entice, not just be a highlight reel? »

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes (2011) International Movie Trailer

18 June 2011 10:03 AM, PDT | Film-Book | See recent Film-Book news »

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes International Trailer has premiered. Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) International movie trailer stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, and Brian Cox. Rise of the Planet of the Apes‘ plot synopsis: “An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”

This 60-second clip focuses more on that family aspect, gives us our first real good look at Tom Felton‘s character and then, of course, kicks up the action. From what I know about Rise, this 60 second look is the best representation of the film yet, both in its tone, structure and percentage of action.

There’s a lot of new footage in this, including some early scenes with John Lithgow »

We previously posted the Rise of the Planet of the Apes teaser trailer. This movie trailer shows more of Caeser’s intelligence and has more action in its latter half. It doesn’t quite have the cool factor that the previous teaser trailer had in my opinion though.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movie Trailer has premiered. Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, and Brian CoxRise of the Planet of the Apes‘ plot synopsis: “An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.” This film looks really good. This science fiction film could actually be something really special if it has been handled properly. My favorite part of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie trailer is when Caesar (Andy Serkis) is given a pill then immediately sticks its hand back out of cage for another one, impatiently shaking its hand. Loved that. Its little, well-written moments like that which make a film great. This »
