Danny Pudi Stars in Trailer for Coming-of-Age Film 'The Tiger Hunter'

"I only wish to live up to my father's example..." An official Us trailer has debuted for an indie coming-of-age comedy titled The Tiger Hunter, starring young actor Danny Pudi best known from "Community". Pudy plays Sami Malik, a young Indian boy who comes to America in the 1970s in order to impress his crush back home, as well as his father, a legendary tiger hunter. But of course he ends up working a low-end job and meets some wacky friends who he hopes will convince them of his success, even if it's not entirely true. The entire cast includes Rizwan Manji, Jon Heder, Karen David, Kevin Pollak, Sam Page, Anand Desai-Barochia, and Parvesh Cheena. This looks oddly charming and amusing in a quaint way. Enjoy. And from there, I interviewed dozens of immigrants who came at the same time, and they had tons of heartfelt and hilarious stories that worked with the narrative I wanted to tell.” Since launching her career in the film industry, her goal has been “to make entertainment that calls attention to some of the more salient and overlooked social issues of our society.

Khan has previously directed three shorts: “A Land Called Paradise,” “The Sleeper Cell,” and “Circumstance.”

Once Upon a Time's Karen David Feels the Pressure Playing Iconic Princess Jasmine

Once Upon a Time's Karen David Feels the Pressure Playing Iconic Princess Jasmine
Landing a role on Once Upon a Time as one of the show's remixed versions of a beloved Disney character can be something of a double-edged sword. Just ask their new Jasmine, Karen David. After making her first brief appearance in Storybrooke two episodes back, David's Princess of Agrabah took center stage in this week's episode "Street Rats" as her quest to find Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Agrabah's very own savior, became public knowledge. The introduction of the iconic characters came with the requisite Ouat twists (Jasmine brought Aladdin to the Cave of Wonders, not Jafar, and the two never found time to give in to their romantic feelings), as well as a few winking nods to the unforgettable 1992 animated...

Once Upon a Time Season 6 Reels In Captain Nemo!

  • TVfanatic
If you've always wondered what secrets may be lurking in Captain Hook's past, look no further than far, far under the sea.

We might not have imagined a ship's captain entangling with a captain of a submarine, but we may have to rethink that scenario.

Faran Tahir will be coming aboard Once Upon a Time Season 6 as none other than Captain Nemo

According to EW, Tahir will play the "hardened leader of the Nautilus submarine, who’s a zealous believer in a cause that takes him from 20,000 leagues under the sea to the destiny that he won’t let anyone prevent him from achieving."

There really is not story that's off limits to step ashore at Storybrooke. Isn't it wonderful?

This season the entire show is opening up to the Land of Untold Stories, which goes beyond the fairytale characters with which we've become familiar.

It's a fairly unique concept
