A six-minute preview of Thomas Newman's score for Skyfall has already made it's way online. You can preorder it now ahead of its upcoming November 6 release as Sony has just made it the subject of the film's latest video blog. It doesn't necessarily delve into any dark corners of the score and really only looks at the iconic James Bond theme while introducing Derek Watkins, trumpet player who has performed on every single one of the Bond films beginning with Dr. No when he was 17-years-old back in 1962. Check it out below along with the tracklisting of 30 pieces of music that will be found on the film's score. A new video blog has gone online for the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall.  Sadly, this is probably the weakest video blog yet.  While it's definitely cool that they took time to speak with trumpet player Derek Watkins, who has worked on every James Bond movie, it doesn't really go into composer Thomas Newman's score.  Perhaps they want to keep it under wraps, or maybe some piece weren't completely finished when this video blog was recorded, but it still would have been nice to get Newman's thoughts on what he plans to bring to the table, and where it will fit in the pantheon of Bond scores. Hit the jump to check out the video blog.  Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Helen McCrory, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Berenice Marlohe, and Naomie Harris.  Skyfall opens November 9th. "It makes you want to move. It's just classic and iconic," Newman said of Monty Norman's James Bond theme. "You have to honour that, there's just something about it that plugs right in. "Sometimes (more) »
