Kristin Says: Vote For The A-List Actress With The Best Makeup Look Of 2010!

31 December 2010 8:40 AM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

Which A-list actress had the best makeup look of 2010? Check out the photos and vote now!

2010 was a year for some rather beautiful beauty, especially in the best makeup category. I decided to count down my favorite beauty looks from the year and see which makeup look deserves the Best Makeup Look of 2010. Who will win? That’s up to you. Let’s check out the contenders:

Amanda Seyfried at the Oscars has the three “p” of makeup: perfect, pretty and poreless. The amethyst smoky eye was gorgeous and the pink lip was sheer beauty.

I still cannot get over Taylor Swift’s transformation at the AMAs. The dark lined eye and sexy pink lip looked so sultry with the sleek hairstyle she rocked that night.

Christina Ricci found a look she loved and it was sheer perfection: gorgeous long lashes and one of the most perfect red lip colors »

Tomb Raider, Too: Seven Actresses That Could Be the New Lara Croft

31 December 2010 7:02 AM, PST | ifc.com | See recent IFC news »

While we're on the topic, sure, we're a long way from a movie based on the "Tomb Raider" reboot -- heck, the new game isn't even out yet. But with all this talk of a colorful character overhaul, it's hard not to start fantasizing about a younger, more convincing successor to Angelina Jolie as the iron-willed video game icon Lara Croft. Here are seven starlets who could possibly wield those dual pistols.

Olivia Wilde

The former "Oc" star's got a lot of heat thanks to her innocent turn in "Tron: Legacy," but could she survive way, way off the grid?

Gemma Arterton

She came off a bit clueless as a Bond girl in "Quantum of Solace," but faired a little better as an action heroine in "Prince of Persia," another video game adaptation. Bonus points for being authentically British.

Kristen Stewart

Judging from the art we've seen from the new game, »

Tron: Legacy Reaches Blockbuster Status; Olivia Wilde and Director Joseph Kosinski Talk Tron 3

31 December 2010 4:56 AM, PST | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

It's taken a couple of weeks, but THR reports that Disney's highly anticipated sequel Tron: Legacy has earned more than $100 million at the domestic box office, typically the benchmark for "blockbuster" status. Combined with the movie's foreign box office take, Tron: Legacy is now in pure profit mode, having conquered its $170 million budget.

Usually, when movies reach this level of profitability, a sequel announcement is not far behind. While Disney has yet to make that pronouncement, director Joseph Kosinski told MTV in a recent interview that he would be willing to return for another installment.

Tron Legacy Lightsuit Featurette

31 December 2010 3:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

It may have been out in the cinema for a couple of weeks but Disney’s Tron: Legacy is still pulling me in with all the cool stuff that we have coming out for the movie. Last week, we posted Buzz on the grid which, although was unofficial, was still pretty awesome!

Today I’ve found this new featurette for the Joseph Kosinski directed movie which focuses on the light-suits and interviews costume designer, Christine Clarke as she talks about just how cool they were to design and make. In this featurette, we get to see the stars of the movie, Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde talk about working in the suits and how they found it.

If you didn’t see our extended presentation where Christine talks more in depth about the design process of building the suits, you can see it posted here.

Tangled Passes $150m; True Grit Down, Fails to Pass $50m on Tuesday: Box Office

29 December 2010 9:41 PM, PST | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Hailee Steinfeld in Joel and Ethan Coen's True Grit Paul Weitz's Little Fockers took in $7.77m at the North American box office on Tuesday, Dec. 28, as per Box Office Mojo. The widely panned Universal comedy starring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Owen Wilson, Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Jessica Alba will likely pass the $100m milestone by Sunday evening. (Cume after seven days: $61.27m.) As Brooks Barnes explained in the New York Times, Twitter and Facebook are helping moviegoers be more discerning in their moviegoing choices. That's surely why Little Fockers will be reaching the $100m milestone — as opposed to the $200m milestone — on Day 10 or whereabouts. Makes sense? No? Oh, well. Two Jeff Bridges movies switched places on Tuesday: Joseph Kosinski's Tron: Legacy, which co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, collected $6.34m at no. 2, thus passing the $100m milestone after 12 days [...] »

Fandango Releases 2011 “Hot List;” Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp Among Honorees

29 December 2010 2:31 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

In what is apparently an annual occurrence, Fandango has released its 2011 "Hot List."  Featuring prestigious categories such as "The Sexiest Man/Woman in 2011 Movies" and "The Next Big American Movie Star," the list derives from a survey of 1000 Fandango users and is undoubtedly an honor that is revered by industry professionals and general fans alike (I think, at least). Stars such as Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, and Blake Lively were among the big winners this year, with Depp being a unanimous choice for sexiest male actor (in the name of fairness, the results are divided into male and female respondent polls).  For complete results, hit the jump to check out the press release.  Fair warning, though, respondents ranked Olivia Wilde at number #10 in the "sexiest" category, essentially voiding all of its supposed findings. Here's the press release: It's been a newsy week for Natalie Portman, who has been »

Elton John's Son, Hugh Hefner And iPhone Durability In Today's Twitter-Wood

29 December 2010 1:54 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Elton John has been receiving congratulatory notes from around Twitter-Wood this week, thanks to the birth of his son Zachary. Neil Patrick Harris even wants to pencil in some play dates as soon as possible.

In other tweets, Olivia Wilde graciously accepted some congrats from Chris Kattan, while John Cusack attempted to clear up some confusion about his travels among his friends. And I wouldn't recommend doing to your iPhone what Penn Jillette put his through, but he seems sold on the product's ability to withstand a two-story fall. Find out why -- and who wants to get married in a tribute to Hugh Hefner -- after the jump.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski.

Starring Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Bruce Boxleitner, Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen and James Frain.

Synopsis:

Investigating the disappearance of his father Kevin (Jeff Bridges), Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) is drawn into the digital world of 'The Grid'.

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) is looking for his father, Kevin (Jeff Bridges), missing since 1989. Drawn into a dark and dusty arcade, Sam stumbles across his father’s old computer, still in sleep mode from 20 years ago (who’s paying that electricity bill?). He activates a laser, the laser zaps him into Flynn’s computer.

So we’ve stepped through the wardrobe, fallen down the rabbit-hole, followed the yellow brick road. So? What’s the twist? Why is this different? Backtrack a moment and re-consider that tagline. Sam Flynn gets zapped into Kevin Flynn’s dusty old computer, locked away beneath an abandoned arcade. His father’s computer. »

Ben Stiller's Little Fockers Tops; Coen Brothers' True Grit Ahead of Tron: Legacy

Barbra Streisand, Little Fockers (top); Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, True Grit (bottom) Starring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Owen Wilson, Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Jessica Alba, Paul Weitz's widely panned Little Fockers collected a modest $5.1m at the — as usual — low-key Christmas Eve box office in North America. As in the previous couple of days, two Jeff Bridges movies were next, though in reverse order: at no. 2 was Joel Coen and Ethan Coen's Western True Grit, which also features Hailee Steinfeld, Matt Damon, and Josh Brolin, with $4.8m. It was followed by Joseph Kosinski's Tron: Legacy, starring Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, and Olivia Wilde, with $3.9m. Little Fockers Holds Up Well, Tron: Legacy May Top Weekend: Thursday Box Office

Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Little Fockers (top); Garrett Hedlund, Tron: Legacy (bottom) Starring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Owen Wilson, Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Jessica Alba, Paul Weitz's Little Fockers took in $7.1m on its second day out, Thursday, Dec. 23, according to estimates found at Box Office Mojo. The widely panned comedy was down only -1.4% compared to Wed. According to some box-office predictions, Joseph Kosinski's Tron: Legacy will be the no. 1 movie this Christmas weekend. Although that's certainly a possibility, Little Fockers, despite all the terrible reviews, shouldn't end up too far behind. At no. 2 on Thursday, Tron: Legacy, starring Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, and Jeff Bridges, pulled in $6.1m (+8.5%), followed by another Jeff Bridges vehicle, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen's True Grit.
